VOCR CHARITY CD STUDIO REPORT - SEPTEMBER 2001

Singers from the Voices Of Classic Rock met in LA September 21 to record "Voices For America" a special CD that will be sold by Platinum Records, proceeds of which will go to the Red Cross Victims Relief Fund for the victims of the attacks that took place last week in New York and Washington, DC. Recordings of "America The Beautiful" and "The Battle Hymn Of The Republic" are two of the songs. Singers who were there in LA tracking vocals were Glenn Hughes, Joe Lynn Turner, Spencer Davis, Alex Ligertwood, Bobby Kimball, and Dave Jenkins. Other singers around the country will also be joining in on tracks. The CD will initially be marketed through radio and some retail establishments in Boston, Washington, DC, Los Angeles and New York.
