Here are Glenn's own words on the Mark & Brian Christmas Variety show that took place yesterday and where he teamed up with David Coverdale on stage to sing the classic Deep Purple song "Burn". It was the first time since 1976 these two men performed together on stage.
"Dear everyone,
thanx to all of you who listened today. It was a lot of fun. I didn't have a lot of time to prepare 4 the show, but it was another wonderful moment in my life.
I want you all to know what a extreme pleasure it was to work with my 'boyhood' friend, David. I thought his performance today was fantastic! He IS the absolutely most professional artist I have ever worked with, but more importantly, I really admire the Man he has become. David and I walk the same spiritual path, there are NO MISTAKES IN GOD'S WORLD. I hope all of our fans enjoyed this special moment, as much as we did. I wished we could have done more songs (my voice was getting warmed up).
I am enjoying my music more than ever before. I feel, for the first time in a long while, that things are happenin'. I love to sing and perform. It's what my higher power wants me to do. I thank him for 'the gifts' everyday. I want to wish David and Cindy Coverdale and all of the GH fans, a Merry 'soulful Xmas'!
Love,
Glenn"
