As some of you may have seen, if you follow Glenn on Twitter, he is particpating in a TV documentary all about the history of the Whisky A Go Go venue in West Hollywood, California, USA. It is tentatively titled, “A Shot Of Whisky“. Glenn is joined by many musical celebrities participating in the film.
His segment was filmed today in London, England. As you probably know he has played at The Whisky many times througout his career, from the early days with Trapeze, right up until the present day, with his most recent gig at the venue being in April 2009.
No update as to when and where it might be broadcast, so stay tuned for an update!
Glenn also just made available some video from backstage at The Whisky the other night with some friends and family, just before he hit the stage on Saturday night! You can watch it from here:

You can now checkout some new pix from the Los Angeles (West Hollywood) gig that took place on Saturday, April 4th, 2009. As you’ll see CHAD SMITH (Red Hot Chili Peppers) joined Glenn and the band for the encore numbers, “Soul Mover” and “Burn“. You can find a link to the full set list along with the pix here:

Glenn just returned home yesterday from New York City and Foxboro, Massachssetts in the USA, from sold out shows and an ecstatic reception from the audiences at the 3 shows he played for.
We thought you’d like the chance to see some videos and plenty of pix from the weekend East Coast trip, especially if you’re planning on seeing him yourself sometime soon.
Next up is the Whisky A Go Go in his hometown, Los Angeles, California and in just a short couple of weeks he’ll be in Australia!

The venue for upcoming show in New York City, The Highline Ballroon, on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 has instituted an extremely strict curfew time!
Glenn will be on stage at 8:00PM prompt and the venue has made Curfew at 9:30PM. Yes, you read that right!! This also has the unfortunate side effect of Glenn and band, being unable to do a Meet’n’Greet.
This is totally out of Glenn’s control and he’s forced to adhere to this extreme and highly unusual arrangement.
As a reminder, the venue’s Doors Open at 6:00PM and the evening of music begins at 7:00PM with a support band, Luke Mulholland (www.lukemulholland.com).
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD, THANKS.
For those attending the gig the night before in Foxboro, MA. on the 27th and for the lucky few, who were confimed for the private event the night after in New York City, on the 29th, there will be no such restriction in place and also for the Whisky A Go Go gig on April 4th in Los Angeles, California.

It all takes place in John’s New York City flagship store at 315 BOWERY, the former home of the world famous CBGB & OMFUG rock club (CBGB’s)!
Admission is FREE, but this is a very LIMITED CAPACITY venue, with no more than 300 able to attend. If you are still in town following Glenn’s headlining gig at the Highline Ballroom the night before, then be sure and get your RSVP email invitation request sent right NOW!

UK based Classic Rock Magazine has been polling readers recently and leading by a wide margin in the category of “best rock singer” is none other than Epiphone endorsee, Glenn Hughes.
Having been a favorite of many (including Stevie Wonder) for a long time, the singer/bassist/guitarist is currently on a world tour in support of his new solo effort, First Underground Nuclear Kitchen.
We recently caught up with Glenn at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California where he had this to say:
“The Epiphone Blues Custom 30 Amp has it all. It can handle all of my styles, whether it’s Rock, Funk, Soul or Blues. It gives me exactly what I need to express myself in this musical hybrid, from a Club to a Stadium and beyond. I will ONLY play the very best…And that’s Gibson/Epiphone.”

The new Monkey Business album gets it’s later this month. Glenn will be featured on it. It’s titled, “TWILIGHT OF JESTERS?“.

In a couple of weeks time, Monkey Business will be in Los Angeles with Glenn and they will film the second video for the song, “Gumball“, which of course, features Glenn, along with one other song, “The History Of Pathos“.
Says Glenn…”It’s far and wide the best band! It fits perfectly with what I want to do, Glenn Hughes with funk and rock. I got lucky enough that i can sing funk, rock, jazz, soul and rhythm and blues and this team allows me to do just that.”
Meantime, here is a link to the first video for the song, “Who Killed My Libido?“, parts of which were filmed at the recent gig back in December, when coincidentally, Glenn appeared live with the band in Prague, Czech Republic.
