Rock legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, GLENN HUGHES, returns with his new studio album, “CHOSEN“, set for release on September 5th, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl.
Order “Chosen” HERE.

His explosive brand-new single,”My Alibi” is out now, so turn it up LOUD!
Glenn comments on the new song:
‘My Alibi‘ …from the start of my career, all the way through, to the present moment, I’ve always had a strong desire to write groove-oriented songs. It’s who I am, and I firmly believe that grooves are extremely relevant in all genres of music.
This latest new track release follows the debut of three others from the new album:
After a nine year hiatus as a solo artist, GLENN HUGHES is back with “CHOSEN“, his brand-new solo record: an album which presents Glenn in his most hard rockin’ fashion. An explosive record that offers GLENN HUGHES at his absolute best with a state-of-the-art album, both from a songwriting and production standpoint. A truly captivating return!
“CHOSEN” Tracklist:
1. Voice In My Head
2. My Alibi
3. Chosen
4. Heal
5. In The Golden
6. The Lost Parade
7. Hot Damn Thing
8. Black Cat Moan
9. Come And Go
10. Into The Fade
Line Up:
GLENN HUGHES – Vocals, Bass
SOREN ANDERSEN – Guitar
ASH SHEEHAN – Drums
BOB FRIDZEMA – Keys
Commenting on the new album, Glenn stated:
Songwriting is deeply personal to me, and I generally write and record when I have something to say. It’s been nine years since I recorded my last solo album, “Resonate”.
While there have been recordings and collaborations with other artists, since 2016, when writing “CHOSEN“, I went back to my life drawing board, writing about the human condition, love, hope, faith and acceptance. I write about how I feel on the inside and not externally. My life is lived from within, in the present moment. It’s an album of soul food, and I’ve never been so grateful, right here, on planet earth. Music is the healer!
This year will also see GLENN HUGHES busy touring across Europe, UK and South America, with “The Chosen Years” tour starting in Zoetermeer, Netherlands, on September 2nd, and ending on November 29th in Bogota, Colombia. For tickets, VIP upgrade and the full list of dates, please see HERE.

Glenn comments:
It was 50 years ago, in the Summer of 1973, that the BURN album by Deep Purple was written at Clearwell Castle in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.
Reminisces Glenn…
It was recorded in October 1973 in Montreux, Switzerland.
Continues Hughes:
We all became one in this centuries old castle in the UK countryside, it felt like Deep Purple were a new band, with David (Coverdale) and I as new members, we couldn’t wait to start working on new songs. The atmosphere was electric, in such amazing surroundings.
All the songs on BURN were written in the crypt/dungeon, underneath the great hall. We worked on a new song every day, and we were in the flow. Musically we would play, and work out ideas, and David and I would come up with vocal melodies that would later have lyrics. I remember it like it was yesterday.
As you could imagine, Ritchie Blackmore was in full prankster mode, Jon had warned me, and he rigged my room one night with a speaker that was hidden, and had ghostly voices delivered to my bedside.
The title track was the last song to be written. We came back from the pub, and went down into the crypt, and magic happened.
Concludes Hughes:
It’s time to celebrate BURN, and I’m really looking forward to seeing you.

The eight date UK 2019 tour promises to be a dynamic, turn-back-the-clocks, two-hour live extravaganza homage to his tenure in MK 3 and MK 4 incarnations of Deep Purple – one of music history’s most seminal and influential rock and roll groups.
Says Hughes:
I’m excited to be touring the “Classic Deep Purple Live” in the UK in May 2019. I first toured Classic Deep Purple Live in Australia and New Zealand in 2017 and it went down like a storm. We’re currently touring a first set of dates in the UK and are looking forward for a second round in 2019.
Deep Purple took a quantum leap when the then 20-year-old Glenn Hughes was seconded from British funk-rock outfit Trapeze in mid-1973. As bassist and co-vocalist (with David Coverdale), he helped steer the legendary rock group in the progressive direction of Burn (1974), Stormbringer (1974) and Come Taste the Band (1975), while touring the world for three years.
