For Immediate Release
Due to the South American Promoter failing to fulfill the required contractual obligations, Glenn Hughes will not be touring South America this September/October.
Glenn’s management has been unsuccessful in reaching any solution with the Promoter and has reluctantly decided that the tour will have to be rescheduled into 2021 with a new South American partner.
Management are confident of securing a new tour period and will have news of this soon.
I’m sorry that my fans won’t get to see me this Fall but I will be back to my beloved South America very soon.
Peace and Love.

GLENN HUGHES was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Mark III line up of DEEP PURPLE. He spent key years of his career as the beloved bassist and vocalist of the group, recording on the classic albums: Burn, Stormbringer, and Come Taste The Band. Hughes and other members of DEEP PURPLE were in attendance to receive the honor. The ceremony was recorded for television and received it’s broadcast premiere via HBO in April 2016.
Vocalist/bass guitarist/songwriter GLENN HUGHES is a true original. No other rock musician has carved such a distinctive style blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. Stevie Wonder once called Hughes his favorite white singer. The first important band Hughes was a member of that achieved notable success was TRAPEZE. In 1973, Hughes joined DEEP PURPLE. The trailblazing hard-rock legends had just weathered the departure of vocalist Ian Gillan and bass guitarist Roger Glover, but guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, keyboardist Jon Lord and drummer Ian Paice continued with the addition of Hughes and David Coverdale. Since 1992, Hughes has toured extensively in Europe, Japan and South America in support of solo albums, but more recently has been involved with award winning supergroups’, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION with guitar star Joe Bonamassa, keyboard player Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and drummer Jason Bonham, son of the late Led Zeppelin legend John Bonham and CALIFORNIA BREED, who also featured both Hughes and drummer Jason Bonham.

GLENN HUGHES FORCED TO CANCEL UK/EUROPEAN TOUR AFTER CO-HEADLINER LIVING COLOUR PULLS OUT AND BOOKS A CONFLICTING RUN FOR THE SAME DATES
Promoters Left With No Choice But To Refund All Tickets For Previously Announced Dates
Hughes’ New Solo Album Resonate Scheduled For Release On November 4th Via Frontiers Music SRL
Glenn Hughes is forced to cancel his UK/European tour today after the co-headliner Living Colour booked a conflicting support slot on Alter Bridge‘s European tour. New management for Living Colour knowingly booked them onto the Alter Bridge tour although they were already confirmed for the Glenn Hughes co-headline tour, which had been on sale since April. Alter Bridge and Glenn Hughes have been long-time friends and neither Alter Bridge, their management and agents or even Living Colour‘s agent TKO were aware that this was taking place.
Glenn Hughes was planning on touring Europe in support of his upcoming solo album, Resonate. When word got to promoters that Living Colour were no longer planning to perform on the co-headline dates, they were forced to refund all tickets. All ticket holders of Glenn Hughes‘ UK/European tour will be offered refunds at the point of purchase and can call the venues for more information.
“I am saddened and disappointed that I will not be able to perform for my UK and European fans as I had originally intended. When I partnered with Living Colour to do this tour, I thought we would be able to make something special happen at these shows. Unfortunately, an undermining manager got involved and in turn ruined what would have been an amazing tour. I can’t wait to get back to the UK and Europe to bring the new songs of Resonate to my fans overseas,” explains Glenn Hughes.
Glenn Hughes‘ new solo album, Resonate, has been receiving critical acclaim from media and fans alike. The album will be available in two configurations: regular cd and deluxe edition including one bonus track and DVD. The Deluxe Edition includes the bonus track “Nothing’s The Same”, plus a bonus DVD disc featuring the “Making of” the album documentary – “Heavy” (song video), and “Long Time Gone” (song video). A vinyl release will be made available via the Frontiers’ label partners Soulfood Music. The album is available for pre-order via Amazon (http://radi.al/ResonateAmazon), iTunes (http://radi.al/ResonateiTunes) and Google Play (http://radi.al/ResonateGooglePlay). The single “Heavy” is also available on Spotify at http://radi.al/ResonateSpotify with the full album streaming on release date. Resonate was produced by Glenn Hughes & Soren Andersen.
Glenn Hughes, the legendary “Voice Of Rock,” has been a fixture in the music industry for over 35 years. In that time, he has become one of the most-respected and influential performers through his work in Trapeze, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Black Country Communion as well as his solo career.

The New York rock band LIVING COLOUR, with its hard-hitting songs and expert musicianship, had all the ingredients for success when it first approached the music industry. Yet record labels didn’t know what to do with the band, for the simple reason that all four of its members were black.
Formed in 1984, led by guitarist Vernon Reid, with Corey Glover (vocals), Will Calhoun (drums) and Doug Wimbish (bass), the band’s music is a creative fusion influenced by free jazz, funk, hard rock and heavy metal. After months of touring and a little push from MTV, their second single from Vivid, ‘Cult of Personality‘ helped propel LIVING COLOUR into the mainstream along with an opening slot for the Rolling Stones Steel Wheels tour, garnering their first Grammy in 1989 for ‘Best Hard Rock Performance’. Other songs from Vivid that fared well on radio and MTV were ‘Glamour Boys,’ which became a Top 40 hit, ’Open Letter (to a Landlord),’ and ‘Funny Vibe,’ a song about racism, which included a guest appearance by the rap group Public Enemy.
Their sophomore effort 1990’s Time’s Up including the alt-rock classic ‘Type’, bluesy R&B ‘Love Rears Its Ugly Head’, and the funky ‘Elvis Is Dead’, rewarded the band with their second Grammy, spearheading a wave of eclectic and critically acclaimed bands who challenged racial conventions. With their diverse range in musical style, they fit perfectly on the inaugural Lollapalooza tour. 1993’s Stain, showed a darker, heavier side of the band with songs like ‘Go Away‘ and ‘Leave It Alone‘. After a brief break in 1995, the band got back together to tour, and record 2003’s Collide0scope and 2009’s The Chair In The Doorway.
The impetus of LIVING COLOUR’s new album, Shade originated from a centennial performance of Robert Johnson’s ‘Preachin’ Blues’ at the legendary Apollo Theatre in New York City. Shade, to be released in the fall of 2016, is “the sound of a band coming to terms with its shadows and light,” as described by Vernon Reid. “From the blue pulpit of Robert Johnson to the mean red streets of Brooklyn… Shade is the next chapter of a unique American journey.” Corey Glover portrays Shade as an “homage to the blues” that links the band to their disparate roots and includes a cover of Notorious B.I.G.’s ‘Who Shot Ya?’ which links to current social issues important to the LIVING COLOUR ethos.
