Glenn Hughes, the former bassist and singer of Deep Purple, known to millions as the ‘Voice of Rock‘, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and the current front man for rock super group Black Country Communion, is pleased to announce that he will be performing hit songs from his fascinating career, that he has penned with some of the most influential bands and musicians in rock history.
The show promises to be a dynamic, turn-back-the-clocks, two-hour live extravaganza homage to his illustrious career spanning 5 decades in music – including songs from Trapeze, Deep Purple, Hughes/Thrall, Iommi/Hughes and Black Country Communion – some of music history’s most seminal and influential rock and roll groups. Not only that, the show will feature brand new music from Glenn’s upcoming solo album due for release in Summer 2025.
As well as Glenn on lead vocals and bass guitar, the touring band features Soren Anderson on guitar, and drummer Ash Sheehan.

The Dead Daisies kick off their Summer in style with a massive pan European jaunt that’s set to radiate some heat. The first string of dates are a combination of arena and amphitheatre shows with Judas Priest, Foreigner and Whitesnake, performing at some of the most famous and coveted festivals such as Graspop Belgium and Hellfest France.
Glenn comments:
Hey loved ones, we cannot wait to come to Europe this Summer and play for you all once again. There are so many beautiful cities to visit along the way. We are currently making a new record, so who knows hopefully we can bring a couple of new songs to you too!
Debuting in Germany, the band will also play a series of headline performances. Rejoining The Dead Daisies is drummer extraordinaire Brian Tichy who will unite with Glenn, Doug and David for a massive dose of undiluted rock, the first in Europe since 2018. These will also be the first shows with this lineup.

The European shows originally scheduled for February/March 2022 have now been delayed to October/November 2022, due to concerns over the various restrictions now back in force around COVID-19.
With the latest state of play concerning Covid 19 and how it is escalating travel, border and venue restrictions, we have had to look again at the bands “Holy Ground” February/March Tour which we will sadly have to delay. As disappointing as this news will be to receive, safety as always has to be the priority. However, we will be back stronger and louder than ever when we come back to do these dates in October/November of 2022. With Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion) joining the band, it’s now a leaner four-piece outfit that has brought a new urgency and vigour to their overall sound and vibe. With Deen Castronovo on the drums (Journey, Bad English, Hardline), the powerful and complimentary fretwork of guitar virtuoso Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, Dio), and the solid rhythm guitar foundation of David Lowy (Mink, Red Phoenix), Glenn’s primal rhythms have supercharged the bands front line with rock solid bass grooves and unmatched vocal intensity.
The upcoming album – Holy Ground – was recorded by Producer Ben Grosse at La Fabrique Studio in the South of France and is slated for a January 2021 release to coincide with the Tour.

GLENN HUGHES was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the Mark III line up of DEEP PURPLE. He spent key years of his career as the beloved bassist and vocalist of the group, recording on the classic albums: Burn, Stormbringer, and Come Taste The Band. Hughes and other members of DEEP PURPLE were in attendance to receive the honor. The ceremony was recorded for television and received it’s broadcast premiere via HBO in April 2016.
Vocalist/bass guitarist/songwriter GLENN HUGHES is a true original. No other rock musician has carved such a distinctive style blending the finest elements of hard rock, soul and funk. Stevie Wonder once called Hughes his favorite white singer. The first important band Hughes was a member of that achieved notable success was TRAPEZE. In 1973, Hughes joined DEEP PURPLE. The trailblazing hard-rock legends had just weathered the departure of vocalist Ian Gillan and bass guitarist Roger Glover, but guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, keyboardist Jon Lord and drummer Ian Paice continued with the addition of Hughes and David Coverdale. Since 1992, Hughes has toured extensively in Europe, Japan and South America in support of solo albums, but more recently has been involved with award winning supergroups’, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION with guitar star Joe Bonamassa, keyboard player Derek Sherinian (Dream Theater) and drummer Jason Bonham, son of the late Led Zeppelin legend John Bonham and CALIFORNIA BREED, who also featured both Hughes and drummer Jason Bonham.

Glenn Hughes is forced to cancel his UK/European tour today after the co-headliner Living Colour booked a conflicting support slot on Alter Bridge‘s European tour. New management for Living Colour knowingly booked them onto the Alter Bridge tour although they were already confirmed for the Glenn Hughes co-headline tour, which had been on sale since April. Alter Bridge and Glenn Hughes have been long-time friends and neither Alter Bridge, their management and agents or even Living Colour‘s agent TKO were aware that this was taking place.
Glenn Hughes was planning on touring Europe in support of his upcoming solo album, Resonate. When word got to promoters that Living Colour were no longer planning to perform on the co-headline dates, they were forced to refund all tickets. All ticket holders of Glenn Hughes‘ UK/European tour will be offered refunds at the point of purchase and can call the venues for more information.
“I am saddened and disappointed that I will not be able to perform for my UK and European fans as I had originally intended. When I partnered with Living Colour to do this tour, I thought we would be able to make something special happen at these shows. Unfortunately, an undermining manager got involved and in turn ruined what would have been an amazing tour. I can’t wait to get back to the UK and Europe to bring the new songs of Resonate to my fans overseas,” explains Glenn Hughes.

The album will be available in two configurations: regular cd and deluxe edition including one bonus track and DVD.
