Excellent interview by Jeb Wright of Classic Rock Revisited 😎
“In the interview that follows, Glenn Hughes speaks openly and honestly about the debacle and the uncertainly of what will become of Black Country Communion. Read on to discover how Glenn feels about the band, his band mates and about not touring. This is a riveting interview, so honest at time that it hurts.“
…and as Glenn mentioned in an earlier tweet…
“I hope this answers some of your Q’s…“

Black Country Communion, the Anglo-American rock group comprising vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes, drummer Jason Bonham, keyboardist Derek Sherinian and blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Joe Bonamassa, have with their newly released album, “Afterglow“, debuted at No. 48 on The Billboard 200 chart in the United States.
It sold 8,500 copies in the USA during its first week of release, compared with their album from last year, “2“, which opened with 8,000 units to land at No. 71 and their debut album, “Black Country“, released in 2010, that saw a first-week tally of 7,100 copies to enter the chart at No. 54.
Just like its two predecessors, “Afterglow” was overseen by Kevin Shirley, whose catalog of hit records for LED ZEPPELIN, IRON MAIDEN, AEROSMITH, JOURNEY, THE BLACK CROWES and many more has made him one of the hottest producers that rock music has to offer. Shirley – who had the idea of putting Hughes and Bonamassa together in a band together after seeing them jamming onstage in Los Angeles back in November 2009 – is the group’s unofficial “fifth member.”
Black Country Communion hope to tour “Afterglow” at the start of 2013.
