Rock’n’Roll is a trip, not a destination… we all know how the saying goes! To that end, 2020 will see The Dead Daisies continue their journey with new music, performances and adventures.
The Dead Daisies have gone from strength to strength since the release of their self-titled album in 2013. They have released four studio, one live and one covers album to a growing army of fans worldwide and are praised by the global media in an era where Rock has been declared dead time and time again.
The band’s DNA includes an amazing collective of players that includes John Corabi, Marco Mendoza, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed, Frank Ferrer, Darryl Jones, Tommy Clufetos, Charley Drayton and Jon Stevens amongst others. They’ve also shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Rock including Kiss, Guns N’ Roses, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Bad Company, Whitesnake, ZZ Top and the Hollywood Vampires.
The Daisies have started their next chapter welcoming new member Glenn Hughes. Also known as “The Voice Of Rock“, Glenn has taken over lead vocals and bass guitar, joining guitarists Doug Aldrich, David Lowy and drummer Deen Castronovo.
The chemistry is undeniable with a new album recorded by Producer Ben Grosse at La Fabrique Studio in the South of France with the band boasting: “The best is yet to come”.
With the addition of Glenn Hughes, The Daisies supercharge their front line through his rock solid bass grooves and unmatched vocal intensity. As all fans know, the man is a true original, inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame, with a rich history of music that features heavy weights like Deep Purple and Black Country Communion as well as a successful solo career. One might say: “They don’t build rockers like him anymore”.
Followers can expect more High-Voltage Rock songs, indomitable grooves and spell-binding lyrics, all the ingredients that have made this music so timeless, out-living trends of the modern day. The sound of The Dead Daisies is firmly rooted in the Hard Rock way of life we all love but as a living, breathing rock band, they are constantly evolving & bringing new dynamics to a classic style.
The band have conducted multiple headline tours throughout Europe, Japan, South & North America and conquered some of the worlds most prestigious festivals such as Download, Wacken, Graspop, Sweden Rock as well as Woodstock Poland, where they played the notable Concert for Peace with a 60-piece orchestra in front of over 300,000 people in 2017. Due to the South American Promoter failing to fulfill the required contractual obligations, Glenn Hughes will not be touring South America this September/October.
Glenn’s management has been unsuccessful in reaching any solution with the Promoter and has reluctantly decided that the tour will have to be rescheduled into 2021 with a new South American partner.
Management are confident of securing a new tour period and will have news of this soon.
I’m sorry that my fans won’t get to see me this Fall but I will be back to my beloved South America very soon.

Four of the original shows: Edinburgh, St Albans, Liverpool and Nottingham had to be cancelled. Customers for the cancelled shows have been asked to return to their original point of purchase to request refunds.
In addition, four shows have been rescheduled at the same venues (except Norwich): Salisbury, Norwich, Holmfirth and Birmingham. Refunds for customers who’ve purchased tickets for these shows can be made available until Monday, May 27th should they no longer wish to or are unable to attend the rescheduled November dates.
The rescheduled shows follow the news of GLENN HUGHES needing to cancel his May 2019 UK tour dates due to illness. He needs to be treated for an illness that while not life threatening, must be dealt with immediately so that does not become a serious problem. He is expected to make a full recovery.
The former bassist and singer of Deep Purple, known to millions as the ‘Voice of Rock’, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, and the current front man for rock super group Black Country Communion, was scheduled to kick off the second leg of his ‘Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple Live’ UK Tour at the Holmfirth Picturedrome on Tuesday May 14th. The first leg of his UK shows received rave reviews.

GLENN HUGHES sends his regrets that he is unable to perform his UK tour which was due to start May 14th through May 24th. The eight date UK 2019 tour promises to be a dynamic, turn-back-the-clocks, two-hour live extravaganza homage to his tenure in MK 3 and MK 4 incarnations of Deep Purple – one of music history’s most seminal and influential rock and roll groups.
Says Hughes:
I’m excited to be touring the “Classic Deep Purple Live” in the UK in May 2019. I first toured Classic Deep Purple Live in Australia and New Zealand in 2017 and it went down like a storm. We’re currently touring a first set of dates in the UK and are looking forward for a second round in 2019.
Deep Purple took a quantum leap when the then 20-year-old Glenn Hughes was seconded from British funk-rock outfit Trapeze in mid-1973. As bassist and co-vocalist (with David Coverdale), he helped steer the legendary rock group in the progressive direction of Burn (1974), Stormbringer (1974) and Come Taste the Band (1975), while touring the world for three years.
