Here I am with my good friends Jerry Trimble (retired world lightweight kick boxing champion and now an actor (HEAT with Al Pacino) etc. – Jerry and I lived together during my time in Atlanta in the late ’80s) and his wife, Ami Dolenz (actress & daughter of Monkee, Micky), during a party hosted by the LAPD the other day.
I’m havin’ fun and takin’ it easy while I’ve been off the road. Look forward to seeing you this Summer wherever you’re at.

As some of you may have seen, if you follow Glenn on Twitter, he is particpating in a TV documentary all about the history of the Whisky A Go Go venue in West Hollywood, California, USA. It is tentatively titled, “A Shot Of Whisky“. Glenn is joined by many musical celebrities participating in the film.
His segment was filmed today in London, England. As you probably know he has played at The Whisky many times througout his career, from the early days with Trapeze, right up until the present day, with his most recent gig at the venue being in April 2009.
No update as to when and where it might be broadcast, so stay tuned for an update!

Expect to hear some surprises of rarely played songs, including some material that Glenn has never played in the UK before.

GLENN HUGHES – YOU ARE THE MUSIC‚ – AN EVENING OF TRAPEZE
Glenn and his band will perform a unique and exclusive musical tribute to his former band, the legendary TRAPEZE. The show will consist of a full set of Trapeze music, including songs from the classic albums ŒMEDUSA‚ and ŒYOU ARE THE MUSIC…WE‚RE JUST THE BAND‚. This guarantees to be an unmissable evening, as it will be the first time that Glenn will have played exclusively a full Trapeze set as a solo artist, and it will also be a particularly poignant and emotional evening as the show will be dedicated to the memory of Glenn‚s dear friend, the former Trapeze and Whitesnake guitarist Mel Galley, who sadly died in July 2008.
It all takes place at The Robin 2 in Bilston (Wolverhampton).
