Customer Reviews: HUGE THRILLNovember 15, 2009 Glen C. Hayman(new orleans la. usa) This is one of the most talked about albums of the eighties, and rightfully so.The vocals of Glenn Hughes are simply amazing. An album that sounded great in in 1982 that still sounds great today. Musicianship like this never goes out of style. Buy this album.
Micro Music Review: Classic ReissueSeptember 27, 2009 Audiostar(USA) Singer Glenn Hughes and guitarist Pat Thrall's 1982 release is full of rock energy. This album is an overlooked gem, with lyrics like "You got the power/Turn on the light" sung in best Hughes style and Thrall's virtuosic guitar with early use of the guitar synthesizer, make this a is very interesting recording.
Producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Free) tends to boost the bass and drums sound for an album from this period and additional musicians include keyboard player Peter Schless, and a variety of drummers, Gary Ferguson, Gary Mallaber, and Frankie Banali.
Over all this is aggressive and vital hard rock album, with a healthy dose of texture, well worth searching out. -Audiostar
