GLENN'S MESSAGES

[January 23, 2007]
Hi everyone,

Well, well... I have in my hand the Master copy of the new album... yeah, I've already told you how I feel about it... I'm overjoyed, and I honestly can say that I am overcome with great happiness... Writing songs is the center of my life, and to finally hear the finished Master of the new work has made me realize how far I've come since that Fateful day in December '91... This album is a gift to myself that I want to share with all of you... I will announce the title here and a voice message on my, MySpace page very soon... Also the record company.... we are scheduled for a world release party the 1st week of May...

I wanna thank all of you who attended my mini set @ Namm last Friday night... It was another milestone in live performances... and how much I enjoyed myself and the response was overwhelming... From that show, emails and proposals for future shows and events are already being planned... Glad we played @ Namm, almost didn't do it as I've been so busy. Met a lot of new friends there (you know who you are) some amazin' musicians... We are all family...
Watch this space....I got somethin' cookin' 4 ya!!!!

Hi everyone,

Wow, what a year! It is a time for me to give thanx to my Higher Power, for, one more time, givin' me the gifts to, make music, both on tour and in the studio...

It has also been a time of loss...the Passing of my very close friend Kevin Dubrow, has left a void in mine and Gabi's life... He was, is, part of our family. Words cannot describe how deeply saddened we both are... Like Tommy Bolin, I will honor his name... I knew a very personable, intelligent, generous and hilarious KD... may he rest in Peace...

Wanna thank you the many people who attended my concerts this year: from LA to New York, from Moscow to London, from Rio to Kiev... Thanx for growing with me...

Now... I have just completed my new album... we are mixing @ the moment, and will be mastering in January... I'm always excited about recording new albums, the songs are personal to me, as they are constantly being shaped thru out the year... Well here goes.. I have never EVER had an experience like this B4... this Music is changing my life, it feels like these songs have been livin' inside of me for quite sometime, waitin' for the right moment to be born... These songs are a gift to myself, those that are closest to me are saying that this is my greatest work... simply because I was not afraid to show myself as an artist... and, I really pushed myself as a songwriter, both musically and lyrically to the MAX..

If you want a comparison, there isn't one, but it's in the "Play Me Out, You Are The Music and Feel" vibe... It will change the way I make music for the rest of my life... There is no doubt in my mind, that this work will enable me to become a better person, God wants us all to have our innermost hearts desires, and this is mine... It will be released worldwide in April... It is the greatest high I've ever had, better than Drugs, Food, Sport, and yes even better than Sex...

I got somethin' cookin' for ya...

Wanna thank all my fans 4 comin' out to see me... 30,000 of you in Sofia, that was a real high 4 me... I can still hear the roar! This week I am finishing all the lyrics 4 the new studio album. Let's enjoy the journey that's in front of us and stay in the moment... Anders is on key's, Matt Goom (mine and Chad's buddy) is on drums. Thanx 4 the love... You make a difference!

Hi everyone,

I want to thank all the fans and Media who came out to see my sold out shows in LA and NYC. I was overwhelmed with the reception I received, it simply brougjht me to my knees... I have been touring the world for the last 10 years as a solo artist and was longing to play in the country that I am proud to call home... These shows will set the blueprint for more shows across The USA, I genuinely was taken by the surprise of the intensity and the reaction of eveyone who attended... I wanna thank my brother and Partner Chad Smith, and my band Jeff Kollman, Ed Roth, and Steve Stephens... The shows were soulful, Funked up and Rocked out GH style, and I loved that it was "in the moment" vocal event... I love you my American brothers and sisters, thank you for welcoming me home...

See you very soon in a city near you...
Blessings...

Hi everyone,

I am in London, en route back home to Los Angeles... Still reelin' about the Italian Air strike... I was really lookin' forward to singin' with Ken Hensley and the orchestra... I was very upset that I couldn't fly from Italy to Hamburg. Next up it's LA with Smithy, and the NYC show. We will be rehearsing in LA, before the shows. I am so lookin' forward to funkin' the Capitals on the Coasts! These 2 shows will be special, so all of you who comin' will be gettin' a good piece of Papa, I promise. It's a crazy busy year, that's a lotta friggin' air miles... Stay funky...

See you out there!

Hi everyone,

I'm on my way to Europe. First up is Kavarna, Bulgaria, where there will be a civic ceremony with the mayor, where I will be given the keys to the city. Then I will play my show in the town square outside. I love my Bulgarian fans and the mayor is a dear friend. Dimtrovgrad, Serbia is the next stop where there will be another ceremony where I will open the theatre that is named the Glenn Hughes Music Hall. It is my first time in this country since Purple. I am really looking forward to it. After that I will be in Italy playing with my friends in the Moonstone Project. I know a lot of you will be coming out to see me and it is going to be fun. I want everyone to enjoy themselves. I have been busy writing songs for the next GH album and I am really excited about this. Life doesn't get any better. I
t is a time for love. Hope you can feel it.

Hi everyone,

I am in Russia, and wanted to give you all the news about the rumour of a Deep Purple MKIII re-union. As I have been the one that is consistantly being bombarded with the same question over and over again. My answer has always been that there a 5 members, and that at no time have we had a band discussion about a re-union. Yes, David and I flirted with the idea 18 months ago, and since then my brother has fully comitted himself to his love and nurturing of his beloved Whitesnake. For all GH followers, you can all see that my solo career has gone to another level, playing to more people around the world - the popularity and the demand for my activity has risen... David's recent statement has finally put this rumour to bed... Although I would have loved to have seen it happen under the right circumstances, I'm just as happy to let the increbible legacy of the Mighty MKIII remain intact... See you somewhere in concert on the Planet this year...

Hi everyone,

I will be leaving for Rotterdam on Wednesday. I absolutely LOVE singing with a full orchestra, I get chills thinking about it. See you there on Friday evening... My show on Sunday evening in London will also be a special event for me. I have had a great start 2 the year, and this show comes at a wonderful time. The amazing reception we got in Russia and the Ukraine was a turning point in my career.
It's feels good headlining theaters again, I have missed the big stages. The passion and the soul will be carried onto the stage @ Sheperds Bush on Sunday night! I know there will be a lot of you there, it's gonna be funky! The LA and NYC shows are now on sale. America is such an important market for me. I will keep you updated when more shows are confirmed. Please be advised as to get your tickets soon...

Big love,
Glenn

Hi everyone,

Please let me thank all of my endorsement companies for their hospitality last Friday at the NAMM show. I ran into some good friends there who I hadn't seen in a while. I went to The Grove in Anaheim to see the James Brown Band... this has to be the funkiest thang 've heard in years! Next week I will start the press run for M4TD in America and I'm looking 4ward 2 that! Meanwhile, I spend most of my time writing (just can't stop myself) and hanging out at the beach with my buddies. Keep an eye out on the website as in the next few weeks a touring schedule will be posted. I'm itchin' to get back on stage with my band. Next up is Russia, a very special place for me... Hope to hear from you on KNAC and ROCKLINE... don't be shy! I have said this before, but I am really looking forward to this year. There are no mistakes in God's world. See you on tour!

Hi everyone,

Firstly I want to thank all of you who have sent messages to me this last week. We are all okay and we really appreciate all your kind thoughts. We spent christmas eve with Chad, Nancy & Cole in Malibu and we just laughed our asses off. We were driving around in a golf cart looking for santa. I hope you all have a fabulous 2007. Once again, I want to thank my higher power for giving me one more day on this earth. I count my blessings, I surround myself with loving people and I get completely lost in my music. As you probably know I am writing all the time. It is my music that sustains me. My sobriety and the gift of music that God has given to me are the greatest gifts. I will be playing in many countries in 2007. They will be posted soon. I will see you on my journey. Please remember to love one another. Peace, brothers and sisters.

Hi everyone,

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you this holiday season...

I took Gab to her office as I was picking her up at 5.00 to go to Chad and Nancy's Xmas party... When I pulled in my drive, the pool man was leaving, so, I go in the house and the dogs were goin' crazy. Then I noticed the debris and saw drawers and clothes even the ashes of Lamont, Simka and Pookie had been thown on the floor out of their little caskets. I found Hughy and Princess hiding under one of the couches. I started to feel sick to my stomach. How could they have got into my fortress? There is a wall and high fence around my property, you can't enter from the road, there is an outer gate that has to be security opened , and then you have to walk thru a courtyard. They got in thru a side door, and left by the patio overlooking the pool, that would be the patio in the mastersuite... they took a lot of extemely valuable jewellry belonging to Gab and myself around $100.000 worth. We are both fine, but feel terribly violated. The police team that took our case were very kind and cordial, let's wait and see what happens, these were were very personal items that my wife and i had given to each other on birthday's and Xmas, like I have said before , there are no mistakes in Gods world, but I can tell you this. In the morning, I have enough security people and surveilance to make our home Fort Knox West...

We are all ok, merry Xmas 2 you all and love one another...

Hi everyone,

Just got back last night to LA. I am really looking forward to the Christmas holiday. In my opinion this tour was an extremely vibrant experience. Mark, Anders and Jeff were all complete revelations to me. It has been such a long time since I felt such emotion singing with my band. The Groove, the Funk... the Soul... all extremely passionate and I love my new band both on and off stage. I will have great memories from this tour. For those of you were there, I hope you felt the vibe. The band really inspired me to new heights. The musicianship on stage deeply spoke to me, and I look forward to the next leg of the tour in February.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted you all to know that I am very excited about taking my brand new band out on tour. Joining me this tour will be Jeff Kollman on guitar, Mark Mondesir on drums and Anders Olinder on keys.

As with most artists I admire, I felt it necessary and the right time to play with exciting new players. I want to be pushed and I want to be challlenged and it will bring something new and inspirational to my shows. I have thought long and hard about this and now is the right time for a change. I will like to wish Sebastian and Kjell all the very best and to JJ: good luck with your new CD.

see you soon,

Glenn

Hi everyone,

Once again back home in LA. I really enjoyed the recent shows - whether it was for 10,000 people in Bulgaria or playing the Mike Moore annual bash in NJ. I have had a great summer. There are lots of things going on behind the scenes at the moment and when things are confirmed I will let you all know. One of these things are the European concert dates which will be posted here soon! Thank you for all the birthday wishes you sent. It really means a lot to me.

May life be good to all of you,

Hi everyone,

I am back home in LA for a couple of weeks. I really enjoyed July in Europe! I had a lot of fun both on and off stage with Chad. It was great to see all of you out there, I really thought it was a blast. Had a lovely conversation with old friend Jimmy Page in London the other day. He looks absolutely fantastic. Well, I am just going to enjoy the beach the dogs, and hanging out with my friends for a little while. I will keep you updated as I trudge along the happy road of destiny.

Keep it funky,

Glenn

Hi everyone,

First I want to thank my fans in Australia and all my business associates who made this trip possible. There is definatley a buzz going on over there and I really believe M4TD will do really well there. We are setting up a tour in January 2007. I will work Australia as I believe people really "get" GH over there. The new CD is now outselling Soul Mover and to be on the charts especially in the UK is beautiful. a lot of hard work has been put into this album. I am now in full promotion groove. Te music on this album is designed for my self and my fans AND for a wider audience and the demographic that is buying this album is a younger audience. I really want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be seeing you on tour in europe soon!

Hi everyone,

I'm down in Australia writing with Jimmy Barnes, which is exciting, inspiring and working out wonderfully. He's an amazing guy, and a fantastic singer. As you probably know, I'm doing 2 acoustic promo shows in Sydney and Melbourne, with the Sydney show to be aired on Australian TV. 'Music For The Divine' will be out next week; I'm very proud of this record and I hope that you can feel the love and soul in every track. As ever, thank you for all of your loyalty and support and I will see you on the road soon for the M4TD tour.

Hi everyone,

Only a couple of weeks before the album comes out and I am hard at work doing all the press. The reviews have been amazing and I have been getting more magazine coverage and covers than ever before. We are working on an American deal and it should be finalized next week and then the album should be released in America and in South America in July. I will keep you posted on all live shows that will be coming up. I want to congratulate Chad, John, Flea and Anthony for their #1 album. They have worked really hard and deserve it. Once again, thank you for all your love. this is a new beginning for me.

Hi everyone,

Glenn and his Martin Hope you all had a great easter. I will be spending a week with mom and dad in the UK before I go to Norway. Feels weird having some free time after all the time spent working on my new album. Well, gotta go finish Hughes/Thrall! Thought you would like to see a photograph of the guitar that I wrote M4TD on. It is a 1956 Martin. It is a dream to play, and it has been an inspirational instrument to write on... (and yes I have had my hair cut).

love,

Glenn

Hi everyone,

Cole & Glenn My godson Cole had his 1st birthday party over the weekend. Here is a picture of the beautiful boy. It was a fab time. I am really happy for Chad and Nancy, they are our best mates. Ryann Hewitt is now mixing my new record... Chad and I are over there every day. I am so excited about this album! This album has changed the way I write music and has brought a lot of love into my life. It feels like I am just getting started and I can't wait for you to hear it.

Hi everyone,

Hughy I would like you to meet the newest member to our family. We found our new baby at our favorite petshop that was sponsoring a rescue. His name just happened to be "Hugh".
His full name now is Hughy Deiter Hughes. He is 2 years old and he is pure white. Lily, Wolfie and Princess have already accepted him. Gabi twisted my arm to get another cat.* She comes from a mad cat family. I have a feeling our home will be full of 4 legged friends forever.
I spent this last week writing some new songs for the Hughes/Thrall album. I will be recording them next week. Lots of things coming up and when they are confirmed I will let you all know!

see you all soon,

Glenn

*note from Gabi: Glenn's arm didn't take too much twisting.

[February 19, 2006]
Hi everyone,

I think it is about time I let you all know that I am going to go to Las Vegas next week to work with Pat Thrall. We are going to finish Hughes/Thrall II this summer and have it for release in 2007. My new solo album and HT2 will be strong releases. Personally I am feeling really energized. I haven't felt this good in years. I live my life one day at a time, and I want to thank God for the blessings.

see you on the road this year,

Glenn

[February 03, 2006]
Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that yesterday all the tracking for the album was completed. We had the final day of string section yesterday. It is a massive piece of work. 15 songs were recorded. I would like you all to know I spent all of last year writing, arranging and preparing these songs. I spent way more time on this album than any other album of my career. I don't think anybody will argue that this is a turning point for me. A few of my real close friends have been to chad's to listen and they are saying that this album and the vibe is exactly where I should be headed. I can tell you it is a mature album, and more than ever before I can't wait for you all to hear it. We start mixing mid March and the album is scheduled to be released May 29th.

A very tired but exuberant Glenn

[January 16, 2006]Hello!
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that we are really hard at work up at Chad's house in the Hollywood hills recording the new album. As you know I always get really involved in making my music and you may have heard me say this before, but this is without a doubt my finest hour. I have worked really hard and put in a lot of extra time to ensure that the songs are strong. Chad is really a great producer and he is working me to the bone. We wrote a new song on Saturday in the studio that is possibly one of the best songs I've ever written. The album will be finished at the end of the month and we will mix the first week of march. I can tell you this: the album will have the most variety of my musical styles as it is where I am in my life. It is honest, and I believe I will push the boat further. I hope you all enjoy the ride.
