Thumbs up Orange Amps

Glenns' bass tone on the Afterglow CD is the best yet Being so impressed i've gone from a Peavey solid state amp to the hybrid (tube pre-amp/solid state power) Orange BT500H. The tone is all there and i'm happy with the brand. A 2x12 cab is on order, will update that result soon.

Thanks Glenn for turning us on to Orange!

Can hardly believe so much tone and power comes from this small of a package. Amp @ 500 watts / cab @ 600 watts, this unit was built to be played loud and the afterburners kick in as the volume is increased Surprising low end from the 12 inch speakers.

Glenns' all tube big rig must sound awesome live!

Trapezoid,
I bet you have the Orange isobaric SP212 cab! Great low end. Interesting design with the 2 speakers back-to-back. I tried the SP410, but had to return it with a speaker issue. I purchased it at a super discounted price (under $900 ), but, couldn't get a replacement. I don't believe they make the SP410's anymore - the SP212 are more popular !

Sorry to hear of the speaker issue, bluebassman. Hope it can be resolved/repaired for you - as the sp410 looks like a great cab.
This is the first time i've played through 12 inch bass speakers. It seems to mix the low end of a larger driver with the response time of a smaller speaker. The compact and light weight cab is great on the ol' back. Use to haul around a 2X15 Peavey cab in the past - Big difference!

Yeah - I had to return the sp410 and didn't get another - only because they were too hard to find and was more of a luxury for me! Today, I'm usually using an Eden D115T and an Eden D210XLT with an Eden WTB300V tube amp (which is very nice !!!). I still love the sound of those Eden cabs - even with the weight !

Orange Bass amps really deliver in every way! I've flippped the 2x12 cabs on their sides to give it the look of the 15 inch cab.
