Wink The Swinging Sixties

- Ritchie Blackmore's first marriage to Margit 1964

- Ian Gillan (then Episode Six) and Justin Hayward (Moody Blues) presenting the fashion of 1967

Quote:
Jon Lord remembers:
That leather coat cost more than I'd earned in my entire life. It was all bought one mad afternoon at Mr. Fish. Working-class lads being dressed by a top designer, we weren't going to say no. We wanted to be a progressive band but we didn't know how. I remember thinking it was the most wonderful time, with total freedom."
(Uncut, Issue 163,December 2010, p 16).

Oh, Ritchie could be quite charming if he wanted to be. I can't imagine that he impressed all his wives just with his guitar playing...

So is it true that Richie fires his wives - just like his band mates from DP & Rainbow ?

Mostly it was Ritchie's infidelity that caused the trouble and the wives to be miffed.
Babs paid him back and sold a few of his guitars during the divorce process.

Did you say dapper? Not in 1962 when he played with Screaming Lord Sutch...
