Wow, just finding this out here on the forum. Very concerning, to say the least. Sending positive thoughts to Jon, and wishing him strength in his fight.
Oh no...this terrible illness seems to appear more and more...
I really hope that Jon will win the fight and we see him back in good health! All the best, my thoughts are with him and his family...
Holy ****, i saw Mr Lord by the end of June in Amstetten with his Blues Band, nothing was vicible......i hope ands pray the best for him.
That is the trouble with cancer. Very often you still feel good, you look good. And the right diagnosis comes too late. When the beast has already taken over.
I can assure you that this lousy piece of news about my musical hero has affected me badly. Last night I was still awake at 3 am, when I decided to get up and listen to Sarabande, which calmed me down a bit.
I don't know how strong the mental effect on this disease is but good vibes in mental supports are definitely a good thing.
Nearly 400 fans have already left some warm-hearted comments for Jon. It would be great if there are a lot to follow:

Lioness, i spent much time with ill people as it`s my profession, most of it in hospitals but there is nothing for sure. Nobody knows what tomorrow may bring, all we can do is hope and pray for a relative good prognosis and for... luck. I simply can`t imagine that all i like will pass, terrible thought, have to get rid of it......
Just a quick line or two from an absolutely overwhelmed, gratified and humbled musician.
Your responses to the news of my condition have touched my heart in a way that has truly helped to make my life a better place to be than it had occasionally threatened to become these last few weeks.
Your wonderful messages wishing me strength and courage have given me even more strength and courage – and so much more than you can ever know.
I read many of them with tears in my eyes, grateful for this cast-iron proof of the innate goodness of the human being, and grateful to every single one of you for your invaluable support.
This message goes out too to all the similarly wonderful folk on other websites whose support has been equally warm and strong and I want you all to know how greatly heartened and comforted I am by all this.
The treatment continues and I am confident and being supported by my glorious family and an amazing group of friends.
See you soon.
God bless
Jon

lioness, thanx for letting us know!
This is a touching message from Lordy, it's good to know that loving fans can really support him in his hard period, power of good thoughts!
God bless Jon,
Thanks a lot for this quote! It's good to read some news from John and very touching what he writes there.
I hope the people will continue sending him good wishes, I might do it once a week now. Takes only two minutes but if hundreds would do that it would be a great sign of continueing support...
Thank you for your thank yous, dear friends. In order to keep up the spirit (and to keep you busy ) : This is a video from a press conference with Jon in Yekaterinburg, Russia. It's from 2009, but was uploaded only recently.
Jon speaks about his musical education, choosing songs for his concerts, Purple and much more.
The end of the pc is quite touching - Jon is showered with presents, they hardly want to let him go. "So much love in the room" he says. I had a lump in my throat.
Enjoy!
Very, very nice reactions of Jon Lord in that press conference. And very honest. When he couldn't get the point about that Leicester question he kept asking again and again instead of just talking something about Leicester to have that question done.
I also liked him mentioning Mrs. "Doasyouwouldbedoneby" from the fairytale "The Water-Babies". He must have had a great mother who gave the right thoughts to her son.
It must have been hard work for him to do this press conference after a two-days-journey with not enough sleep in a country where you don't understand the language and depend on an interpreter and with permanent flash lights right into your face for over 30 minutes. Respect.
Jon is very positive in his tweet on 30 august 2011: Even fighting with more strength and courage! He said: SEE YOU SOON. So let's hope dear JON will recover completely and we will be able to see JON again sometime in the future. ALL THE BEST TO YOU JON (we, the fans are sending positive vibes)
This week I have googled some about Jon"s illness on the internet and I found what Pete York, drummer of the Blues project and friend of JON told about his illnes, recently. He said that the situation was very worrying and that the cancer was in an advanced stadium (quote P.Y.)
Last year it was very sad when Ronnie James Dio died. He was one of my biggest heros and also a very friendly person. Next to Dio, JON is one of the most talented and friendliest persons in the Music History. In my opinion the greatest keyboard-player EVER. Let's hope he will survive. God bless JON!
