Just got back from Northampton and another stonking show from Glenn and the boys!

I know i say it every tour, but i just dont know how Glenn does it.
So much energy, thumping the bass, jumping round the stage like someone half his age, and then of course the voice

As at previous shows at The Roadmender the sound was really good. Nice and loud but also clear. Soren had a real crunchy sound, Pontus a nice "crack" on the snare & thump on the bass drum, and Anders could be heard on the rockers as well as in the quieter bits.

Standouts tonight for me were (all of them!) Orion, First Step of Love Medusa and You Got Soul.

Soren made some killer solos and especially the crazy one from Orion - just like JJ did but with his own take on it.
You Got Soul showed just how tight this lineup is. Great drums form Pontus on this one.

Glenn didnt do any of his vocal improvs as no Dont Let Me Bleed or Mistreated but still showed just what he can do He's got a LONG summer of shows remember!

Soren's cd is on sale on the merchandise stand for a tenner and he was out front signing it after the show. I'll play it this week and try and get a review done on here.

And finally, nice to see a few familiar faces - see you at Buxton

a couple of other things to add.....

They were on stage dead on 8.30pm so don't hang around in the bar too long.
Caught a few out i can tell ya!

Played nonstop till 10.05 and then came back and did the encores so not that far off a 2hr show.

Also, i met Raven Vandelle after the show and they were really excited about putting on a good show in Brum so make sure you come along and check them out.

And Soren said he's heard BCC2. says it's more powerful than the first album and he didn't think that was possible but it is he loves it!

Teehee, see you there! And I agree - I said to Martin I don't know how he does it but each time feels like a whole new level of greatness that you just don;t think is possible but then he goes and does it again and delivers a cracking show with a cracking band who are so tight and such a tight knit family too - you can see the enjoyment coming from the stage as well as hear the quality of the performance! Sound was great in the Roadmender and I echo everything Wolfy said. Glad to have Can't Stop the Flood in the set list - it's a real 'hip shaker' to quote David for me. Loved First Step Of Love being brought into the set. Loved the energy of the crowd too! Good to see you all there and wherever we may meet on the road in the future x
