Glenn in studio writing new songs

On Glenn's twitter 8th August 2010: He says he is in the studio playing a few gtrs and basses and have begun writing.

I gues this must be for a new solo album for 2011? I like how creative Glenn is

well i would guess it would be for BCC as he had a solo album written that he was on the verge of entering the studio to record properly just prior to the decision to form BCC.

Would love to get an idea what those songs were like!

It's better to release it, than let it collect DUST on a shelf (this happened to the DEP Sessions before)

Its a safe bet that BBC goes into the studio again very shortly to record the follow up to the BBC debut. A smart move considering their hectic schedules.

Bonamassa is laying down tracks in Greece for a new solo cd as well.

In January 2011 it's studio time for BCC for the second album. I think it gets an release, before the tour spring or early summer 2011

More likely post any tour or live dates... although it won't stop 'em debuting new numbers live

According to Glenn;s tweets in the last week, the songwriting for BCC 2 is going very well. We can expect some superb material

Yes, sounds like someone is frequently in a serious state of flow. According to the tweets (e.g. "14 new BCC songs are now being written" on 21.11.), they'll probably have to release a double album, if the flood can't be stopped. And why should it be.

Hello everybody - I'm new to the forum, but a long time fan of Glenn's, nice to meet you all!

I've always been amazed how prolific a composer Glenn is. Also, the quality of his music, despite the fact he produces so much of it, stays of a very high standard - although obviously some motives and ideas return in various songs. Nevertheless all of them definitely retain their own, unique identity.

I was just listening to SITKOR again, and I think it's one of Glenn's most solid albums in terms of composition. All the songs work perfectly together and it's probably one of those records that could be performed live in its entity.

Thanks for a warm welcome! I have to catch up on all things GH as I was offline for a while. I see Glenn's touring Brazil at the moment. Good for him!

Yesterday I put on one of my favourites LPs of Glenn's - "Blues". I always thought it was great and I enjoyed listening to it again a lot. Still, it's definitely one of those unfairly forgotten albums and it's a pity.

What do you think of it?

Welcome BK! I also thought 'Blues' was a great album.....it's the start of Glenn's prolific recorded output...and, yes, it does seem to be a 'forgotten' work of Mr. Hughes.......
