Icon49 Epiphone Blues Custom 30

UK based Classic Rock Magazine has been polling readers recently and leading by a wide margin in the category of "best rock singer" is none other than Epiphone endorsee, Glenn Hughes.

Having been a favorite of many (including Stevie Wonder) for a long time, the singer/bassist/guitarist is currently on a world tour in support of his new solo effort, First Underground Nuclear Kitchen.

We recently caught up with Glenn at the NAMM show in Anaheim, California where he had this to say:

"The Epiphone Blues Custom 30 Amp has it all. It can handle all of my styles, whether it's Rock, Funk, Soul or Blues. It gives me exactly what I need to express myself in this musical hybrid, from a Club to a Stadium and beyond. I will ONLY play the very best...And that's Gibson/Epiphone.

And Glenn Hughes finished up his endorsement of this fine product,
by stating:
"If things get crowded and you need an extra chair,
this amp is quality-built, so it won't break, even if you sit on it."

Seriously.........
That's some beautiful "MG" guitar that Glenn used for the photo

That really is a nice amp, I played through one at Guitar Center once.
But I was just going to comment on the pic. That's a terribly cool pic.
Gibson/Epiphone has some great stuff amp-wise...I like their old GA style amps...thats a golden sound.
Personally, the Gibson I'd like to have is a Gibson 335 to play through my old Fender Super Reverb...that's a Gibson I could get my hands around in a new york minute!

I"m glad to see Gibson/Epiphone is interested in getting the best vocalist alive to endorse their products. I need a gig amp slightly smaller than mine, that Blues amp is very nice...see, it's working. lol

That's Mel's legendary Les Paul that Glenn has his hands on.

I haven't played through any of the Epiphone amps yet but I like the cool retro look of them. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard that I bought when they first came out that I really like.
