Icon34 35 Years Old - UR The Music

Yes, unbelievable but You Are The Music.... We're Just The Band was released 1st December 1972.

Mel and Glenn wrote an album so good and so far ahead of its time that it doesnt sound dated at all. This has truly stood the test of time.

Ah Wolfy, a man with exquisite taste!!

I would agree, way ahead of its time and one of my favourite albums. Never get bored listening to it. The best funk rock album ever?

in fact, i have been listening to High Flyers cos i love Good Love and Dat's It.

Is it just me or does the fact this cd contains "remastered" tracks mean they jump out the speakers more and are clearer than they are on the standard cds? certainly seems like it.

Take a listen to THIS!!

"You Are The Music" is available in some satellite jukeboxes, albeit in abridged form. You can play five of the tracks (Will Our Love End, Loser and Feelin' So Much Better Now are missing.) and I rattled the cage at the Kew Club a few nights back with "Way Back To The Bone" after warming them up with Humble Pie's take on "Black Coffee".The patrons never knew what hit them....after playing the seven minute Yes workout on "Something's Coming" I whipped a double shot of the Brothers Johnson on them and then slipped them into the shower with the killer live-in-the-studio of James Brown doing "Give It Up Or Turnit A Loose"

I got yer Bon Jovi right here.....
