Icon33 Doro Pesch Hellbound in NYC

David and I stayed on an extra day in NYC, just so I could see Doro Pesch on her "Warrior Soul" 2007 USA Tour. She put on a great 90 minute set, with probably the best setlist in a very longtime - covering her early Warlock days, right up to the present day.

This time, BB King's removed all the tables which was great, as there was more room to bang my head....hehe

Having said that, it was a noticably empty turnout compared to the previous night with GLENN's show, and with absolutely no lines to the you know where So just goes to show how sold out it was when he played - that made us smile a whole lot more when we first walked in

Here's a short clip and some pix from the night - enjoy!

Cheers,
Shirean

Very interesting, Shirean.
Great pictures too! Thanks for sharing this! I think the last time I saw Doro was in 1986/87 on the "True As Steel" tour. The songs on the album weren´t that bad but the record was heavily overproduced, in my opinion. I remember the "ole days" tough, with Rudi Graf on guitars, the crowd´s going wild while singing "Hellbound" out loud from a thousand throats ....great memories.
Cheers, Achim

Doro isn't really my cup of tea, but thanks Shirean for the info on how poorly attended the gig was, compared with the night before when Glenn was headlining

Certainly sounds hopeful you'll be getting some more GH shows in the USA

Did she play anything from "Triumph and Agony", specifically "All We Are", "Three Minute Warning" or "I Rule the Ruins" ?

Yes indeed - "All We Are", "East Meets West" and "Für Immer" from Triumph & Agony. Other Warlock songs included "Burning The Witches", "Earthshaker Rock" and "Lady In A Rock 'N' Roll Hell"

Great shots there Shirean - she looks wicked! Does she actually age like the rest of us??

Actually she doesn't seem to have aged at all, I was thinking exactly the same, especially when I read and tried to interpret the bit in Achim's post where he writes...
