Smile Trapeze - 35 years ago today!

Just posted in the Gallery a great picture of Trapeze taken on May 6th, 1972.

This was the day Mel became a dad for the first time. He obviously missed the actual event due to being away on tour. Mel couldnt remember the name of the sound engineer, but says they pinched him from The Kinks

The pic was quite damaged but i have done the best i can with filling in the tears with various shades of black!

Also added some pieces from Circus Magazine, including the theft of their equipment in 73, a review of You Are the Music, an early interview, and Glenn announcing his solo band in 76.

Incidently, the Trapeze Myspace page now only has has 2 songs playing. This is not down to me! We currently have "an issue" with them. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Icon34 Scenes from the Cool Archives

Hey Wolfy,

You did a great job with mending the picture..and what a cool shot that is! I presume the child in question was Marcus. Between what you have posted in the Gallery here and over on the My Space sites, I have been having a blast checking it all out. Those high school shots of Mel and Tom are just priceless. Wasn't John Hackney on the edge of that particular music scene too?

The pic from the Cotton Bowl is certainly familiar...I had to double check the booklet for the Hold On CD to make sure. And the bastards who stole their gear....they are gonna face the music someday!

Great stuff.....I am loving all of it
