Icon34 Glenn Hughes at Shepherds Bush

Hi,

Classic Rock Magazine (UK) are advertising Glenn Hughes show on Sunday 29th October at London's Shepherds Bush Empire.

Let's hope this is soon confirmed as it would represent a significant upgrade in venue size from LA2's.

Stay Fun(ky)

Hi Wolfysmith,

Arrived this morning (issue 97,Sept,06)

Also includes short interview with David Coverdale who explains that Glenn "wrote the vocal in the bridge section" of 'Burn' and also very distinctive M4TD advert.

Cheers, Mikey D

How on earth did you get it this early? according to issue 96 the next issue "The State of Prog" isnt due till 23rd August. Normally, as a subscriber, i get it a bit in advance of the shops.

It better come tomorrow or Grace may me from my official role as Classic Rock reporter for GHPG

SB is quite a bit bigger than Mean Fiddler, actually it may well be bigger than the Astoria. Glad to see Glenn's getting the bigger venues and I look forward to the conformation of the gig... and the gig itself!

Shepherds Bush holds about 2000, so does the Astoria, but the Mean Fiddler only holds about 1500 - so fair bit bigger-ish!

Received my tickets for Shepherds Bush Empire
This will be my first Glenn concert. 16 more days to go....
I will be going with my husband, my sister and my 9 years old niece who is trying to learn by heart Glenn's lyrics...
Maybe we could list here who is coming so that we could meet each other for real ?
Cheers
Nathalie

Icon31 Toby Jepson to support London show

In the new February 2007 issue of Classic Rock there is a big 1/4 page advert for Glenn's show at Shepherds Bush and it says Special Guest is Toby Jepson

If you dont know him you must have heard of the band Little Angels which he fronted for 10 years. His new guitarist is Dean Howard who played with T'Pau, Bad Company and more recently Ian Gillan.

www.tobyjepson.com for more info.

I saw Toby Jepson in September at the Z Rock show at JB's in Dudley and, while I was never a huge Little Angels fan, I thought he was the best act of the day. The amount of energy that guy has on stage is enviable in itself, but he had good songs, plenty of interraction with the crowd and was a thoroughly nice chap.
I know everyone will enjoy his set - just don't miss him by being in the bar too long!

Ladies - the guitarist took his shirt off - let's hope it's not too cold!

Is there any hint of more than one show in the UK? I'm sorry, but not prepared to take the potential hit of accommodation and rail travel down to London again after last year!

No word on further UK dates for the Spring time, other than the London gig. But he'll be back after that - more dates are expected soon.

Hi all

Well, is it Toby Jepson or is it............

Quote:

Known as the 'Voice Of Rock', Hughes is one of the greatest bassist and vocalists of all time. Newly announced special guests are South African rockers Nude Girls, whose upcoming album is set to take the UK by storm.

This was in the Email preamble from Academy Events that I received this afternoon. You click on the link to buy tickets & lo & behold, Toby's name crops up!!
