GLENN will be headlining a special week long event in KAVARNA, BULGARIA, on MONDAY AUGUST 21st at the KALIAKRA STADIUM.

The event, translated as 'THE WEEK OF THE SEA', a celebration of the people and region of the Black Sea, is organised by Bulgarian 'Man Of The Year', and Mayor of Kavarna, TSONKO TSONEV. Mr Tsonev was responsible for inviting Glenn for the New Year's Eve show in Karvarna, as well as being the man behind the concerts by Whitesnake, Deep Purple, Scorpions, etc in Kavarna.

Mr Tsonev says; "Myself and the people of Bulgaria are very proud to be able to invite Glenn back to Kavarna again, and we are especially proud that, after sharing New Year's Eve with him, we will also be sharing Glenn's birthday with him during a time of celebration for the people of our region".

GLENN says that he is very happy and honoured to be going back to play for the wonderful people of Bulgaria and his good friend Tsonko Tsonev.

There is no admission for the concert - it is Mr Tsonev's personal "thank you" to the people as part of the week long celebration for the region, as well as being an open invitation for GLENN fans everywhere to come and experience the concert and Black Sea region of Bulgaria.

There is a possibility that GLENN will be shooting a video clip during his time in Bulgaria.

You lucky thing lazy - look forward to hearing all about it, should be quite a performance from all accounts, maybe even the host, Mayor Tsonev, will get in on the action

Deep Purple legend Glenn Hughes has seen a savoury surprise right after his arrival to Bulgaria on Monday.

The musician, usually called by his fans "the voice of rock," received a bottle of Bulgarian red wine from a diehard fan, reports showed.

Hughes arrived at the Varna Airport before heading for the small seaside town of Kavarna, which has emerged in recent years as Bulgaria's hotspot for hard rock gigs.

Mayor Tsonko Tsonev personally welcomed Hughes at the airport.
