Icon33 New Jersey Private Bash III

This weekend GLENN and his band played a private event in New Jersey, USA. As a couple of the lucky attendees, Shirean and I witnessed a fantastic set, which featured some songs never played live before.

Firstly, we have to thank Mike Moore and family for this year's invitation, hospitality and for making it all possible, as well as all his close friends for the very warm welcome. It was great to meet up with old friends and also to make a few new ones. Also, kudos to Mike for allowing us to get Grace in attendence, what with it being in her backyard Nice to see you again Grace and pleased you were able to have Glenn make some calls to someother local GHCP's. That was very cool of him to do that for you

The band this year featured Jeff Kollman and Paul Crook on guitars and Gary Ferguson on drums. There was also a special guest guitarist, Eddie Ojeda from Twisted Sister, who joined the band for one of the encores!

The setlist was as follows:

Soul Mover - Orion - Land Of The Livin' - Don't Let Me Bleed - Deep Inside A Shell - Nights In White Satin (Acoustic) - I Found A Woman (Acoustic) - Coast To Coast (Acoustic) - Sail Away - Mistreated - Gettin' Tighter
You Keep On Moving - Stormbringer

Encore:
Superstition - Sunshine Of Your Love - Higher Ground

Here are a couple of pix and also find attached some movie clips (although the lighting wasn't really suited for them, but enjoy what you can)
Thanks again to Mike and a very Happy Birthday

That's right, David........
I really appreciate Mike's being so BRAVE,
by inviting me to his birthday party.

Mike's a lucky man to have so many nice friends,
most of whom I met at the politically in-correct,
outside-the-front-door-area

Great people, great food,
and the music wasn't too shabby none either.

Thanks again for inviting me, Mike.
And my best wishes for your birthday.

Grace

Am I the only one who finds it weird to see those people dancing when Glenn is up there doing Higher Ground? I would be more focused on Glenn's performance than my dance moves, if you know what I mean....

Remember daniel it was a party not just a gig

Besides, Glenn insisted some booty was raised off chairs

Hi Shirean

I was just wondering if you rent out those legs?? I've not had a pair like that for ... too long!

Hot legs, hot bass!

You're kidding about this, right?
You can EASILY sell copies of this GH performance.
I would be the first in line to buy this.
Although you failed to get the highlight of the performance.

GH:
I wrote this song, "Coast to Coast" in 1972.

Uncouth peasant in the audience:
"You.....were.....just.....5.....years.....old."

First of all, thanks very much for the amazing clips, David! Great stuff, mate!

This is the kind of private bash concert which Glenn should do one day for us in a kind of GHCP special concert!!!! How about that idea, Glenn???

Nice to see Glenn´s new female bass player ....I think she is named "Shirean" as far as I know. If there is any further info confirmed, please let us all know.....

The live version of "I found a Woman" is simply outstanding, its has always been one of my favourite GH songs too. Also nice and interesting to see Glenn playing guitar, which he could really do more often, since he´s not a bad guitar player at all as far as Joakim told me when we spoke some time ago.

Since my birthday is in August, it would be interesting to know what it costs to get GH playing on a birthday party like this

Anyway, it would be absolutely worth the money...

cheers, Achim

What a treat, thank you for the clips, David. Great to see and hear Glenn go acoustic. I Found a Woman is amazing, such a beautiful and strong voice Great interpretation, full of soul and warm emotion, it really moved me.

What does he say after the song? No comprendo...

I really really hope he will start doing something like this on his next tour, it's hard to imagine people not appreciating it. Well, if there are a couple of more acoustic tracks on the new album I guess it could be expected...
