Maybe I'm wrong, Tero, but I don't think that Deep Purple
(at least with our boy in the line-up) ever played Madison Square Garden.
The 1974 New York City appearance was the Nassau Coliseum.
Which may look like "New York" to somebody from Guatemala,
but it's half-way in the middle of Long Island.
('Ya got: Brooklyn--> Queens--> NASSAU--> Suffolk--> the Atlantic Ocean.)
So it wasn't really "in the city."
And the 75/76 tour appearance was in Radio City Music Hall.
(6th Avenue and E 50th Street in Manhattan.)
I went there a gazillion times when I was a kid,
to see the weekly stage show, corps de ballet, and the first-run movie.
Plus the Rocketts, of course!
I wonder what Glenn thought when DP MK4 walked out onto THAT STAGE?
Maybe the DP all-line-up reunion concert will be held there.
In answer to the other question:
Poor DC was spitting out flies.
Everybody else must have been just eating them as they flew around.......
or sang with their mouths closed.
And I've often wondered why nobody moved Jon Lord's equipement
closer together. The poor man was trying to play two different
keyboards at the same time.
Only they were about six feel apart.....and JL couldn't reach that far.
And we'll probably keep whining about ice cream,
until Glenn sells some to us GHCPs, at his current tour (?) appearances.
