Glenn "Different stages" CD

Hey Tony,
This was reported a few days ago on the board. Sadly it is not a live album, although it does boast quite a few live tracks. It's my guess that all those are culled from "Burning Japan Live" though. Here's the info as it was posted....

Steamhammer/SPV will release "Different Stages - The Best Of GLENN HUGHES" on August 26.
Track listing:
CD1
01 Burn (live)
02 You Kill Me
03 Highball Shooter
04 Muscle & Blood (live)
05 Save Me Tonight (I'll Be Waiting)
06 Addiction
07 You Keep On Moving (live)
08 Can't Stop The Flood
09 No Stranger To Love (live)
10 From Now On (live)
CD2
01 Death Of Me
02 I Got Your Number (live)
03 The State I'm In
04 Your Love Is Alright (live)
05 Gettin' Tighter (live)
06 This Life
07 Freedom
08 Lady Double Dealer (live)
09 Redline
10 Stormbringer (live)

Should Steamhammer/SPV wish to sponsor a one night only show with this setlist though, I'm sure we could live with it )

Thanks!

Thanks James !!

Some live songs are quite interesting.

No Stranger To Love (live)
From Now On (live)
I Got Your Number (live)
Your Love Is Alright (live)

Except bootlegs, live versions of these songs have never been released officially, if my memory is correct.

Are they all once released ?

Thanks, Roberto. You are correct.

Then it means these songs had been released once.

No new songs but re-issue of Best of Glenn Hughes.

I understand the concept of this album.

Different Stages

Morjens,
yep, I contacted Spinefarm -SPV,MTM, Axe Killer etc. distributor in Finland- and asked about this album...well all they know is that, yes it is coming out 21.8. this year...

They did NOT know anything about HTP gigs and HTP live album... (well, now they know!)

My point here is - in smaller countries like Finland - please check from your SPV or MTM distributor that they know that HTP exists, is alive and touring!!!

In Finland GH does not sell much and that's why Spinefarm isn't putting that much effort to promote GH's or HTP's albums. (actually I heard that HTP albums that you can find from record shops here are ordered from Sweden 'cos Finnish distributor didn't have that album)

Regards,
T

aijoo. funny thing -Music Hunter - one collector's record shop in Helsinki had found 3 GH's Save Me Tonight singles - Anssi, the owner ordered more -since me and my friends bought those singles...I think Glenn will get fax from record company soon which tells that Feel album might start selling in Finland...

HTP live and Glenn's best album

HTP recorded live on 2 nights in Tokyo.

Glenn said to have just finished the art work for the HTP live album from the recordings.

The album is planned to be released on 21st Aug. (Glenn's birthday !)

http://www.glennhughes.com/comingreleases.html

The CD which I questioned above seems to be totally different from HTP live.

The album seems to be like BEST of Glenn Hughes from previous recordings while HTP live is brand new recording.

Bonus Euro Track...

The Bonus Track that will be featured on the European MTM October 7th release of HTP - Live In Tokyo will be Against The Wall, as on the original Japanese release of the HTP studio album.

A pity it wasn't recorded live as it really highlights the trading of vocals between Glenn and JLT. Hopefully they'll add it to the upcoming Euro tour set list
