Icon47 Thrall Release

I read earlier that the infamous "Liddel, Rush and Thrall" release is finally set to take place Oct. 27th. "Lay Down the Law" can be heard on "Z" Records site: http://www.nehrecords.com/shop/Z_Rock.html How many years ago was this recorded? 3 or 4 years ago at least? ....I'm not going there (H/TII

Also, almost a year from now... "Fall of 2004" Brazen Abbot's catalogue is to be re-released including the great "Live and Learn" CD that Glenn appears.

About bloody time! I Had LRT ordered in April when it was due to come out, then it got pushed back to August, then November was being spoken about....! I really like "The Law" mp3 (very "Muscle And Blood") so I'm hoping this'll be a corker. We shall see.

I too have been waiting on this one for a while. It does have that 80's feel but I liked the 80's. If I'm not mistaken this was recorded 88-92 somewhere in that timeframe? Anyone got the exact year?

I read it was 1988.....The guitar playing on the preview track was good.....but seemed to be very dated cliched 80s metal.......If it was that good it would have been out when it was supposed to be (1988.)

In all fairness, sometimes albums dont see the light of day for various reasons(See Glenn Hughes-Warner Brother Demos) You may be right but I'll reserve my judgement until it comes out. I'll give you it's not going to rival Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, Michael Jackson's Thriller or any Beatles albums but it could be a piece of 80's rock that came out a few years too late as the industry was changing to Alternative bands like Nirvana.

Surely enough JLT's second never-to-be-released solo CD from 1986 buried in the archive of Neglectra records was way cool, the same goes for rightfully mentioned GH Warners album - Elektra & Warners are going to unite, I heard, how d'ye like it? - remember Hughes Thrall was not properly promoted... Thrall auditioned for Bad English, if I am not mistaken, after that... The album release does not depend on the quality of the music. IMHO at least.
