Hey there,
there is an interesting review regarding the "Soulfully live in the city of angels" DVD of Glenn Hughes at
www.laut.de, which is a big resource for various music news, reviews ect. in the german speaking area Germany, Austria, Switzerland ect.
The link is
DVD review
Since the review is in german language I will try to recall the bottom line.
The DVD gets 3 stars of 5 and the overall comment is positive.
First, they mention the nice packaging and cover, speaking about Chad Smith as the biggest "celebrity" onboard of this project ...

Furthermore, they praise the new material of Glenn to be very remarkable.
The most funny thing abot this review is the sentence that Glenn Hughesvoice would remind you at Ian Gillans voice very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The review calls the band itself playing very well exept J.J. Marsh, whos limitation would be quite obvious in playing such old classics as
"Mistreated" and "Coast to Coast" which is totally ridiculous is my opinion! Ive been playing guitar for 20 years now and Joakim is doing a great job!

They call him a "poser" and do joke about his weird haistyle combined with a bald head at the backside....
They said that Glenn would have worn "thick make-up" and a dress like Ozzy Osbourne!!!!
Technically, they also critisize the bad and dark picture, which would not have been well enlightened.
Overall, they consider the DVD as a nice piece of work, which could bring Glenn career a good move forward.
Sorry for my bad english, tried to translate the most important quotes though.
