I have the Swedish CD of the album you're talking about. It's on Empire Records, it was released in 1996, and it's called The Voice Of Rock: Glenn Hughes Greatest Hits. The songs are taken from Glenn's various projects from 1982 to 1994, including albums by Phenomena, Liesegang, John Norum, Hughes/Thrall, Manfred Ehlert and Glenn's own Blues and From Now On solo releases. All of the songs are available on albums by the artists mentioned above. It's a nice collection, especially if you're not planning to spend the time and money to track down stuff like Manfred Ehlert's Amen album. The booklet also contains some halfway decent liner notes, and a few great photos of Glenn throughout the years.

Icon47 Memories of Slipped Disc....

Hmm..that reminds me!

I seem to remember seeing the aforementioned CD at Slipped Disc Records in Valley Stream NY during one of my stops there....This was several years before I got the computer and my main means of keeping up with artists that I enjoyed listening to....since the mainstream record shops failed to satisfy that need!

I am flashing back on going through the bins and coming across From Now On...and thinking; "Glenn Hughes?? I'd been wondering what he has been doing.." Bought the disc, took it home and was knocked out....then picked up Burning Japan Live...then Feel..you get the idea!!

And the rest, as they say..is HISTORY!!
