Me too

But will they ever go on tour again?

When I read all those positive reviews it's a shame they don't go out on tour.
It's time to cash in with BCC.

Yes, like this recent one from JoeB but nowhere near at the same level.

Thanks a lot for the link to that interview! Now I'm starting to get really upset with Mr. Bonamassa. I thought the waves were calming down and then he says something like this:

Quote:
"I think Glenn will come to . . . he needs to have a little reality check, and that’s fine. We all love him, and we’ll forgive him."

Who is "we all"? Maybe JB needs a reality check, speaking of himself in plural? And the generous "we'll forgive him" sounds like a priest giving his absolution...buaks! He's right that Glenn should've called him instead of going public but I really hate that arrogant "world star" attitude he's showing now

Welcome to the club, Heidi! I believe you will 'love' this interview even more:

Quote:
I read an interview where you said you were getting emails and comments from kids in Brazil who called you the blues antichrist because they wanted to see BCC perform — and now they might not get that chance.

Yes, and I'm going, "There's a lot more people that care about the band now than they ever did when we were touring." It's like I'm living in Bizarro World. I'm asking myself, "Why do all these kids from Brazil care so much?"

What can you say about the future of the band?

In terms of my future involvement with the band, quite frankly, I'm not sure.

Somehow Kid positive has turned into Man negative within 2 years time... must be the thinning hair...I used to be like him too...
...perhaps he should have done more writing so he would appreciate the album - and the band - more.

...anyway I like his playing on Afterglow a lot! Perhaps more than ever.

Reality Check?!
Mr. Bonamassa bacame so aroggant and pompous!
One time he is a good mate with Glenn and all is perfect, but in the press he talks completely other things!

I really can't understand that hypocrise!

Too bad there wasn't internet as we know during 70's and 80's when "real" bands were breaking up....on the other hand...those guys always claimed communication problems and today those shouldn't be possible...

If Joe isn't willing to call Glenn would someone be nice enough to send Joe's contact card to Glenn?

I'm holding back now as well because I don't wanna cause more ill-feeling. It's upsetting me and some articles/interviews speak for themselves, here's one more of Joe:

It's definitely not you who is causing ill-feelings!

Quote:
Black Country Communion fans shouldn't, however, count on a tour in support of "Afterglow." Sherinian is out with Billy Idol and Bonham has Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience. Hughes "goes out and plays gigs in the U.K. and Russia, whatever."

Of course, it's only the others who are busy. What a perfect excuse for Joe!

Well, it must be said on Joe's defence that he had forthcoming dates booked ages ago...but does Roy keep booking more? Is J&R Productions concentrating only on building Joe's blues career.

I don't know when Joe's interview was done but he seems to be more and more upset... I don't like him "understating" Afterglow...of course he has the right to say that he thinks that numero uno was the best one...but I don't know how business wise that is on promo tour...

I really loved the Afterglow. It's a great album, great in every way, performance of musicians and songs. I can not say if it's better than the others, for me each has its particularity ... the first is more direct, more old school, the second is more aggressive and hard and Afterglow is more thought, perhaps the most ambitious. Unfortunately some people want to see the band always making the same album, but I appreciate the changes and the differences between them. I prefer creativity than complacency. Congratulations to all 5 members of the band who have managed in a short time perform three classic albums.

Afterglow entered the Dutch album charts at #32 last week Now in the second week unfortunately going down to #79
It looks this album need some tour to promote it (with or without Joe).
When you have a golden formula, don't give it up when one guy gives it a quit. Afterglow is written by GLENN .......so he must have the opportunity to promote it with a proper tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yepp, I was just reading about the new entry straight at #9 in the German album charts (by Media-Control) as well. Great, big congrats!

Some Rock sites are quoting the positions of Rock albums in the ordinary charts:
www.rockhard.de/news/newsarchiv/newsansicht/34222-deutsche-albumcharts-kw-45-12.html

And I keep reading very positive reviews in German, i.e. this one:
www.burnyourears.de/reviews/cd/18653-black-country-communion-afterglow or this one: www.musikreviews.de/reviews/2012/Black-Country-Communion/Afterglow

I like the statement:
"Hughes could cough into the micro and Bonamassa could play with an off-tuned axe - it would make you addicted."

Hi,
it is very cool to notice that people still buy (quality) music... I tried to convince Finnish Deep Purple fans that if they - Perfect Strangers of Finland has roughly 200 members - bought the album (the ones that buy new music) on the same week...BCC would go to charts here in Finland too...which would mean radio play...better visibility at shops' CD department, perhaps more sales etc... they weren't interested

I was one of the founding members of that club but nowadays it seems very strange to me...they rather support cover bands playing MK II songs than new music from DP family tree bands

Anyway BCC - Afterglow ROCKS!

T

I like this little Swiss page for their charts worldwide when there are just a few European countries listed

But it's still interesting and great to see how Afterglow is jumping into all the charts!
