Glenn Hughes is pleased to announce the title of his new solo album, "RESONATE", which is scheduled for release on November 4th, 2016 via Frontiers Records.
Quote:
My new album RESONATE will be available in November. The first kind of a complete Glenn album... it is a ROCK album for ROCK fans & it's… HEAVY.
It's my first solo album in 8 years. Everybody needs to know that this is absolutely a return to rock music as a solo artist for me. My work is very varied. Groovy, funky, soulful, although the genre has always been rock. But this album is probably THE heaviest record I've done in at least 25 years. It's dense. It's dark. There's some aggression on this record. Every bloody track is begging to be played live.
Joining him on the album are his guitarist and album co-producer from Denmark, Søren Andersen, Swedish drummer, Pontus Engborg, and Australian keyboard player, Lachlan "Lachy" Doley. Making a guest appearance on drums for 2 songs is Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers).
Full album details will be available soon.
Meantime, for more insights from the recording process, be sure and visit the Studio Report

After viewing the EPK, I can even more hardly wait for the new album. Glenn is like a good wine, getting better with each and every year. His performance is amazing, especially when you consider all the losses and health problems not too long ago
I guess I'll always love what my dear Leo brother is doing!
So well, after this "Resonate" preview i am very much in expectation.
The same like you Lioness.
There are two Drummers i really like, Chad and Pontus.
There is a solid Hard Rock Guitarero, Soren, whom i saw two times life very well performing.
And the Organist with a real Hammond will do lots of Jon Lord magic on this album i think. And that is fantastic, though liking the Trio stuff from Glenn i always love to hear Glenn's singing in front of a rotating Hammond.
I can't wait to hear the whole Album loud on my system, and i can't wait to read all the lyrics Glenn wrote.
I'm very interested in the lp version. Off course I will buy the
cd too.
Glenn is getting better and better every year.
Looking forward to Resonate, the tour and the VIP arragement in december.
For next year BCC 4: it's good to be a Glenn Hughes fan
Hi,
I pre-ordered from cdjapan.co.jp today - thanks for the tip David.
Just today noticed that I have three "different" CD versions of California Breed + vinyl and iTunes download...GHCP...
I suppose there will be at least 3 different CDs...will the US version be the same as in Europe?
T
btw. been listening to (and liking) Addiction lately a lot... noticed that I'm missing the US pressing with 3 bonus tracks... where are they from? Worth getting?

Way Back To The Bone, Touch My Life, You Fool No One... they were recorded during the 5-show Japanese tour in February 1997. The musicians on the live tracks are JJ Marsh, Sampo Axelsson, Morgan Agren and Lasse Pollack. Definitely worth hunting down

Annoyingly, only the mp3 download is available on preorder on amazon uk.
love the google translation of the Japanese site

Glenn (vocals / bass) support the Soren Andersen (guitar), Pontus-Engubori (drums), beyond the range of Lucky Dolly (keyboard) is also just a backup, to show off a play that became a hot rock masses.

Yes, a very good quality recording. I liked the two Trapeze tracks especially.

Got it today! Yep, these tracks are awesome... I wish they'd release more stuff from this line-up Btw. is Glenn playing bass on these ones?
Yes on those ones... although during the actual gigs in '97 it was shared duty throughout the set with Sampo Axelsson, allowing Glenn to focus on his vocal delivery and interaction with the crowd.
Anyway, we're going way off topic here
