Icon42 Thunderhead

As I just swam through my old LP archives I discovered a very good rock band which was called THUNDERHEAD. The band was based in Germany (drummer, bass and 1st guitar) with an american singer and guitarist called Ted Bullet which did some good playing and had a great classic rock voice as well. Unfortunately, the band disappeared after their 2nd album and since then Ted Bullet seems to be disappeared from the face of the earth. This title is taken from their debut album from 1989 which was called "Behind The Eight Ball". The songīs called " You donīt keep me satisfied". The sound of the band was very pure, rough and powerful. No comparison to the typical smooth and slippery sound of 80īs rock bands (which I never liked). Itīs worth to take a listen, fellows!

cheers, Achim

Hey Achim, I've never heard of those guys but I really dig that song. Great production, too - beefy guitar sound, really full and crisp drums.

Thanks for sharing that.

Life In The City

Indeed, Todd, I always found this band very much "back to the roots" classic rock. A great ballad they did was "Life in The City" which showed not only the big voice and great playing of Ted Bullet but also some string arrangments in the background. The songs is simple but great.

P.S. Jon, will get back to you later today!
