California Breed: more touring or new album 2015?

I'm wondering, will California Breed do more touring in 2015 or will they record a new album (with Joey on drums?). Or maybe is this band finished and will GLENN go solo again? What do you think, my fellow GLENN fans?

Chuck, I also think he will go SOLO (with band) again. It's interesting to know what the fans on this forum think. California Breed or solo. And there is another question. What do you prefer

I prefer Glenn in a group....and definitely as 'front man' w/bass......i.e. TRAPEZE!!!

I really hope he keeps California Breed going and wish he and Andrew would write another album - possibly with Jason in drums, Joey if Bonham is not available... CB is also good name for his solo band (with AW)...

...I really hope he doesn't spend whole year doing Kings of Chaos or secret recording sessions that never see the light of day... like STP thing.

I personally like California Breed a lot. It's one of my favourite GLENN records. So I would like it as they will record a second album. I hope (wish) with Jason, as he is one of the best drummers in the world. But Joey is also a very good replacement. Solo with band is also a good option: I prefer more the rock sound than the funk sound (I know Glenn will always have some funk in the rock and I like that).

Kings if Chaos: only interesting for touring.

So, Hopefully CALIFORNIA BREED II with also a new tour

Yvonne, unfortuately I know it's no longer possible... miss Mel... but I'd rather see Glenn in that kind of a 'format' then 'solo'... but... that's just me!

Now I know how the 80's Glenn Hughes fans felt when band after band fell apart...or Glenn was thrown out... wait a minute I was 80's fan. How many times I've gone through this? A fan inside me just died one more time... perhaps the last time.

For us the fans Glenn is a big rockstar and the most gifted muscian ever. But i'm afraid there is no big audience for Glenn without famous friends to work with. I saw Glenn so many times live and Always in small clubs with a poor turn out (Holland, belgium, germany). If Glenn made the choice to make only real rock music like he's doing now 2 decades ago he would be massive at this moment. His music was a bit to diverse to build a bigger fanbase then he has at this moment. Btw... i'm shure if the CB tour would be a selling suc6 that they would continue even without Jason.

California Breed did it pretty good in a lot of charts in UK and Europe. It is a amazing good album. After Jason left it seemed that there was less interest in the band in Europe. They were originally booked in venues with a capacity around 1500-2000. After Jason left they changed some venues to smaller clubs, capacity 900. I can understand it, because CB was a band with two famous names in hardrock: Hughes and Bonham jr. For a lot of fans it was a huge disappointment when Jason left. Though Joey Castillo, drum-monster, did a fantastic job on the live shows. I've been to the show in Koln and it was one of the best shows in the last years, I've seen

Now I'm ready for a new interesting and adventurous chapter in Glenn Hughes music. Glenn, I wish you lot's of luck and above all a good health.

Can't say I am upset about CB breaking up! The debut was ok but not as good as the BCC albums IMHO! Wish Glenn would do a melodic rock album with Norum, Sykes, Thrall and others!

Watt would have left soon anyways! It would've been a stepping stone for him. Hope he does something good soon!

I'd just woke up and was caught off guard so I didn't have a chance to talk much with Glenn. I'd like to see more melodic Hughes Thrall style vocals also seen on the solo albums such as TWII and Songs in the Key of Rock, which had a good mix of full throttle and melodic vocals. I'm with Daniel. Whatever Glenn does it's always different so bring it on Glenn!

I think Glenn did the best he could with a bad situation. The album was out there, and he had to knuckle down and tour it, which he did, admirably. He honoured commitments, and certainly gave Andrew Watt his window to the world. It's not his greatest album, but it was a brave one, and it's got some killers on it, including 'All fall down' which I consider to be one of the greatest songs he's ever written. Nothing is wasted here, this is yet another colour in Glenn's kaleidoscopic career. Would that other artists were so eclectic and unpredictable!

I agree Kev. It's not my favourite style but All Falls Down is a classic. I like Strong too. I'd like a more Soul Mover style album mixed with HTP style. Soul Mover was the perfect mix of styles, the rock with the funk, soul, pop elements with great songs and great performances.

Given that a major raison d'être behind California Breed's genesis was for Glenn and Jason to finally have a band that they could tour together, I think Bonham's departure pretty much killed the whole thing; in essence the band was more or less DOA by the opening day of their tour.

They bravely made a go of it with Joey Castillo but, when even he couldn't commit to all of the band's gigs, (the band's drum tech played in his stead), things became somewhat farcical.

Like some others here, I had a hard time coming to terms with the album at first, but I really came to like it, and I have to say that the material really shone when played live - irrespective of who was behind the kit.

Seeing the effort Glenn and Andrew put into bringing the songs to life onstage, I found myself hoping that they might find a viable way forward, but in talking to Glenn I know that even now "new things are in the pipe", so 2015 will surely bear new fruit for us all to enjoy.

In the meantime, California Breed joins a proud collection of work in Glenn's catalog as a whole, taking a deserved place alongside other notable short term endeavors like Hughes/Thrall, Face the Truth and the albums that Glenn recorded with Tony Iommi.

Goodbye CB, hello to the future...

saw glenn mention this on facebook but since my computer is down i've had a hard time responding - unless jason had a financial problem - which would be the only valid excuse i can think of - to make and album and then watch tickets be sold and then drop out - that's coldblooded
