To all you Glenn Hughes fans in the UK....Congratulations!!

We have been spoiled here in the States by the numerous shows that Glenn has played here this year and hopefully Top Cat,Shirl,Pete S. and the rest of you folks on the other side of the pond can share in the excitement! And with HTP2 due out next month, who knows what other shows may be added to the mix!

Now it is YOUR turn to be rocked by Papa G!! Raise a pint for me and have a great time!!

Yours In The Funk

Just had a thought! Anyone know if there will be a meet and greet after the gigs in Bradford and Cambridge, the latter of which a girlfriend will be attending for the first time?? She would really like to meet Glenn after the show if possible.

Does anyone know the venue in Cambridge? Big, small, great, not so great?

HOORAH!
Hi Shirl and all!

Provisional bookings at hotel TC for (before and/or after)Bradford gig now open.

I'll also be going to Dudley I expect, but as the others are workdays or followed by workdays I don't think I can justify doing 'em.

Woulda been better for me the other way round, but hey - I sure ain't complaining!

love

TC

They're had better be a meet and greet! I'm not doing all I can to get to meet you lot in person without the chance to tell Glenn to his face how cool I think his music is! Somebody sort it!

Hi Guys,
I was just getting into posting on Fedor's board and now it's gone! Still, as we've just moved house neither of us have had much time in the last 10 days to do anything!
We're definitely going to 3 of the shows. The Mean Fiddler date is the night before Spock's Beard, so we're staying down with friends for a couple of nights. Should be good! I'm also going to be doing a tour diary starting with the Spanish shows (once they're confirmed) for Fireworks.
Where's Satan these days? Not seen him here for a while. Must be worried that I have some blackmail photos of him singing "The Final Countdown" in the beer tent in Sweden! Ha, ha!
Looking forward to meeting friends old and new at the UK gigs.

I'm able to find tickets for sale online for the Cambridge and London shows, but can't find one for Bradford or Dudley!

Am I being impatient

Has anyone found an online outlet for those shows yet?

I just phoned the Bradford box office Paul. They were qucik and efficient, and I wasn't on the phone more than thirty seconds. My tickets will be ready and waiting when I get there. Maybe that's your best bet.

Same here James.
Going back to an old post. There are no pubs near Rio's if memory serves, but a few within 10 mins walk near the University. One a real spit and sawdust !! There is a Wetherspoons about a further 400m into town.Or is everyone meeting at Rio's and sampling their fine ale lol

shirl,

the venue in cambridge has its own site.
www.junction.co.uk

i am going there as well as dudley so will see you at both.

they give glenn a good write up:

This year sees the release of his next solo effort, “Songs In the Key of Rock. The album features Glenn’s signature vocals (he is widely acknowledged as having one of the most astonishing voices in rock history) combined with a vintage, yet fresh approach capturing the essence of some of the great Rock and Roll classics.

This gig is a much requested follow up to last years ‘Legends Of Rock’ success at The Corn Exchange.
The Junction book now...

It's in my blood

Just occurred to me that people might not know that there's usually a rock nite at Rio's on Fridays after the gig.

Certainly until relatively recently you could stay if you'd been at the gig without having to pay for the rock nite.

Dunno what effect that will have on any possible meet & greet but could be a laff if a few of us stay!!

love

TC

Yes, pubwise, Rio's is in the middle of a desert, but even though you may be able to find a drink before the gig, you might have problems finding an internet cafe - and there's nothing sad whatsoever about being addicted to the internet, even though I'm obviously NOT addicted, oh no indeed not, I know there are people who are, and you just might need to find somewhere to log on in Bradford. Well, unless it's changed since I was there, there's just about nowhere apart from the library. I crawled the length and breadth of Bradford one day, trying to find an internet oasis, and there were so many false-alarms it was heartbreaking. Places called 'Media Cafe' where it looked like the fascia said 'Multimedia Cafe' from a distance. And places with rows of computers inside - but they turned out to be travel agents. Heartbreaking I tell ya. Anyway, it might have changed - but I'm not going back to Bradford till it has!

Noticed the colourful, sunny logo for the Spanish dates at the top of the fan forum page?

I think James should make up a wonderful, British one - umbrellas, drunks and bollards. Cynical? Me?

Sorry Chris, that probably applies more to England.

If I get the time, I'd consider it Shirl.....but if you want cynical, perhaps I'd be better doing a shot of a burning car with a couple of asylum seekers scrapping in the background. With a drunk staggering out of a club yelling at nobody in particular. Plus an inebriated tart flashing her rather flabby breasts because she's "living it large". Just out of shot there's a guy who's been glassed because he has a nice looking girlfriend. Outside there's a "beggar" who you've seen doing the rounds for the past five weeks and he's wearing more expensive trainers than you are. And there's policeman ignoring all of this by pulling over a "speeding" motorist.

It's good in Hull. Honest.

Cheer up Brits! This is satire!

Yeah, guys your right I think the UK has lost its identidy and has to much yob culture. God I sound old and serious never thought that would happen... No wonder Glenn lives in Calafornia, Cannock does not have the same ring somehow.
