Icon34 more MGM

Here's some more MGM

..no that's not a cigarette Mel's holding, but the infamous 'claw' or 'toast rack' he had to wear on his right hand to innervate the nerves of his hand after the freak accident with John Sykes that hurt his hand way back in the 'snake days of april 1984....The 'snake tour continued without him and word has it that they played some of their best shows ever as a 5 piece...just before Jon Lord re-united with Purple.....I actually have a video of Lord's last show with the snake: 16th April 1984 Stockholm, Sweden: Mandags Borsen TV show:
....Mel eventually was given the sack by ol' Cov.

Wink Regular or menthol??

Hello Ad

That is indeed a cigarette Mel is holding; it is his left arm that was injured and I am guessing that he wore the claw" only when he was playing guitar.

But thank you so much for all these nuggets; MGM was a chapter that has little written about it and I do appreciate you filling in the blanks!
