Icon49 Chad talks Music For The Divine

Yesterday, both Shirean and I were lucky enough to talk to Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) for a few minutes.

Here are some highlights from our conversation - we managed to get his thoughts on Music For The Divine and working & hangin' with GLENN. We kicked things off by asking him about the inclusion, of what turns out to be, a remix of Nights In White Satin.

Unfortunately, our conversation was cut short rather abruptly due to some unexpected guests arriving at his door, so the running time is just under 10 minutes Plus he was having a busy day, due to the fact he was heading out to UK later in the day, and being away on the road most of the rest of the year!

Anyway, we hope to catch up with him again somewhere along the way later in the year for a longer conversation.

Meantime, enjoy

Thanks for that, a pity he had to leave early though. June can't come quick enough. Pleased to hear that NIWS is slightly different than the other version, so it will be like getting 11 new songs afterall

Good job you two

Thanks for posting this. I know it probably sounds obvious but what a great guy Chad is.

He really is doing all he can to help promote Glenn. As someone who is in one of the biggest bands in the world he really comes across as a genuinely good guy and is not at all affected by his fame and fortune.

A well rounded and grounded individual, I guess that's why he is Glenn's buddy.

Respect to CS

Having been lucky enough to spend some time with Chad backstage after his Drum Academy show i can tell you he IS a great guy. Very down to earth and great company. And a great sense of humour too.

He'll be on the telly here quite a bit in the next couple of weeks starting with Jonathon Ross show this Friday April 14th.
