Thanks for the videos, it seems that everybody had great time! I'm so sorry I missed it
David, which band did Glenn play with? Who's that long haired guitarist beside him?

Great audience response! I got a kick out of the guy you can hear singing along during "Stormbringer", sounded like DC The guitarist has that Blackmore strat sound really dialed in Looked like a great show, thanks for posting.

Well, I'm back in Sofia. I can only say that despite the absolute lack of organization, the concert was great. Glenn and his band gave their maximum. This time the whole experience was a little bit "harder" than usual, even Glenn used the word "fcuk" more than we are used to But maybe because it was a moto festival, they even gave him a leather jacket as a present. I was surprised to see a completely new guitarist and drummer but they made a great performances - very alive and heavy. (David, can you tell us their names?) So, in the beginning we were pretty far away from the stage but later we managed to get closer and eventually I took some decent shots.

Glenn, thank you for the great show!

And for the organizers: You suck big time! Take the Kavarna's organization as a model and next time don't make us walk 800 m on a completely dark road to reach the site of the show. And please, put some cover on the ground because we had to stay the whole time in the dust and breathe it as we were horses or sheeps in pen.

Thanks for the pix mahalata, lookin' good See the earlier post above for the band members who played with Glenn that night.

Do keep in mind, it's the organizers you have to thank for the facilities I'm sure they'll learn for next time they hold an event like that outdoors, although the main crowd are probably used to it

It is always amazing how much goes into advertising, etc. of a "festival", and no attention is paid to the area itself. Some of the outdoor venues I have been to have been wonderful sites, but the travel, parking and walking are abyssmal. The Journal Pavilion here in Albuquerque is a joke. 16,000 people out in nowhere land with two LANES coming and going to park. After Iron Maiden last year it took me an hour and a half just to get out into the tyraffic flow to try and get out. Then you drive a few miles on a single lane, winding road in pitch black to get to a two lane road to take you near a main artery. SHow 2 hours, in and out 3 hours !! Plus, you have to walk up a very steep hill after the gig for about half a mile with a single exit gate open. Just a disaster.

On the other hand, durin Rib Fest and Tof P in Vinoy Park in St. Pete, FL, there is ample parking, shuttle service and enough outdoor facilities to keep you comfortable. There are 100,000 people each day during Rib Fest for food, bands, car shows and Kids' activities, yet you never feel as closed in and uncomfortable as at the Journal Pavillion. SOme systems just take time, but if you use a remote area to stage a show, there are always going to be hellacious problems.
