Yeah that makes no sense. This band is incredible! There will be many regrets if they let this one slip away. I feel it.

The new BCC sounds really stellar!

If this is the end, at least it's with one hell of a bang!

I am not too worried about Glenn's future because I think BCC has

helped him get his groove back As if the man could ever lose it!

I bet he'll put a new rock band together later as well as do solo stuff!

Exciting time to be a fan of GH!

Really looking forward to the new album

"Its been great" may just be Jason alluding to completing the latest album, rather than talking about the end of the band. Although i do think this will be the end for BCC.

Maybe we are going to finally see Derek's Keyboards to the fore at last, maybe not underused in the previous 2 albums, but hidden in the mix.

I hope it's even better than the 2 previous albums, tops their success, and they go out on a high!

I think the link was between all those lines which Glenn posted in the last few weeks

At least that gives me the hope that Glenn will do more solo tours in the future, maybe even on the good old continent...

What a pity

If this is the last of BCC, it will be a great pity as the music is great and the band has gained a really high profile in the past few years.
The sad reality though is the band cannot really tour regularly, I would imagine this is because of Joe's solo career.
Look forward to Glenn's brotherhood project though and hopefully plenty of solo gigs

well.. I'm not really sure it's the end.. trilogy is now completed and of course there will be no more BCC albums soon.. but I'm sure this guys will do something else in the future.. you know.. there's a lot of fun between them so when the desire will come back we'll BCC on road again

For the moment it's Afterglow time.. enjoy it and hope there will a tour in Europe again

Sad/UnHappy

If this is indeed the end, I will shoot my balls off. For the first time in my life there has been a band for which a new album with NEW music coauld be expected, and not buying music that had been released or performed 30 or 40 years ago. A real shame if BCC will be disbanded after this one.

Amen to that Tony. The acoustics at the Indianapolis show had the best sound i'd ever heard in concert. One of the most enjoyable rock shows to see. Attached photo was from earlier that day, before the marquee was changed over.

We only can wait and we'll see! It's sad because BCC is the best rock band of the century but... hey remember what Glenn says " I don't wanna go back, I don't think about the future, I think about now. "

So think about now! Afterglow is coming and I can't wait to listen it!

I looked through a month of tweets and I see Ghs tweet about doors closing. He often has words like that, it could apply to anything. These guys are nuts if they kill off this band!!!!! No way!!!

Saved the best for last? GLENN did in the seventies BURN, STORMBRINGER and COME TASTE THE BAND: only three albums, but music history. And now with BCC, BCC 2 and Afterglow three modern classics. Better three superb albums and then give it a quit than making lots of albums (like many other bands) which makes no sence. BCC: The trilogy and than some live shows at the end. After that I think it's time for a new interesting chapter in the music live of GLENN HUGHES. He rules

Rather insightful snippet from an interview with Joe Bonamassa in the September 2012 issue of Australian Rhythms magazine, talking about how he wanted to return to the blues for his most recent solo album - so it tells you where his head is at!

Quote:
"A lot of it had to do with the tour for Black Country Communion", he states, regarding why now was the time to lay down a blues record, referencing the super group heís a part of, along with Jason Bonham, Glenn Hughes and Derek Sherinian. ďI just ran from rock Ďní roll, I said I donít wanna deal with it, I donít wanna hear it, I donít wanna ****iní tune my guitar down to D, I donít want anything to do with it Ė I wanna play British blues, Iím taking my bat and ball and building my own sandbox, that was basically my conversation.

So from here, it's sounding like what Joe wants, Joe gets...

Umm does that mean it was a contractual obligation to make album 3? Hence the trilogy is complete. I'm very grateful for the music BCC has made because I love blues based rock full stop.

Joe has always been and will remain a very talented blues artist, that's his true passion and I respect that.

BCC has been funded I believe by J&R adventures, Joes company with his manager and business partner. I guess they call the shots. Regarding BCC and with profits split 4 ways the incentive is not quite as big.

If Afterglow outsells Joes latest album by some margin maybe there will be some
re negotiating going on with a further album and possible tour.

However my instinct tells me this is the last album with a handful of shows )early 2013 and that will be the end of it.

For which I will have some great memories from the 2 shows I saw and what will be 4 great albums. Thanks BCC. Next !!!!

Hi,
I don't know whether this is some kinda protection mechanism of my mind or what...but I'm not really sorry if this is the end of BCC.

From the beginning it was clear that they did what Joe wanted - Glenn did the hard work of writing and Joe's people booked the tour...BCC was Joe's rock band. And now he doesn't want to be a rock star anymore.

Like HTP was limiting Glenn's writing BCC has done so even more. They are so within that genre they want to be in it must hurt the funky side of Glenn. C'mon Deep Purple was hard rock and yet they made Stormbringer! BCC could have stretched the limits of British blues rock a bit more... Afterglow will show that...

Anyway - the best is yet to come...from Boston? Isn't that city of Aerosmith, Extreme and ...?

He was in Boston for the weekend. Don't think it has a thing to do with the new project. Really don't.

I also think BCC limits Glenn stylistically so would welcome any new directions he may go into. The idea that he should only be about rock is a waste of the man's talents. Play Me Out, remember?

Thanks for the excerpt, David.

This is so silly, it's is really kiddie stuff. He just sounds like a spoiled child. Has anybody ever told Mr. Bonamassa what BCC's music is going to be like? Has anybody FORCED Mr. Bonamassa to play in a rock band?

"...building my own sandbox..." Yes, this is definitely the place where Mr. Bonamassa indeed belongs to be

Excuse me, but I grew up with PERSONALITIES like Hendrix, Blackmore, Clapton and Page. I simply cannot relate to youngsters who obviously have the opinion "I am Mr. Superkid, now you may kiss my ass"

Thank God I have never spent a cent on Mr. Bonamassa's solo albums.

By the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with good old British Blues. However, when you're in your mid thirties, you should be able to make up your mind what you really want to do. And behave like an adult...
If Mr. Bonamassa had something what I call character, he would have resigned from the band after the first tour - and let the others carry on!

Blaaah, what a mess!

Willem, while we're discussing 'coming in threes'.....let's not forget TRAPEZE, MEDUSA, & YOU ARE THE MUSIC..WE'RE JUST THE BAND. It seems Glenn does most of his 'band' recordings in 3's!!!!
