A great review - but why any need for the "cokehead" bit? Its got nothing to do the music!

The reviews have indeed been very positive!!

Another A rated review

Quote:
There is not a weak song on the disc. In this day and age when most rock releases get pushed under the table by the corporate music business, one can only hope that people are smart enough to realize that this is a masterpiece. Don’t miss out on the musically religious experience that is Black Country Communion.

GREAT song. makes me think of Free a bit at times.

Joe and Glenn's vocals mix together great

Absolutely spot on killer solo!

I'd buy this album on the strength of hearing this song alone!

Black Country Communion - Debut review

Wolfy, there's a very good reason for the track reminding you of Free......not only is the song title similar to Free (Songs of Yesterday)...but the chords are VERY similar to Free's Be My Friend!! No doubt it's a nod of the head to Koss from Joe!!

Yay! Awesome! Very much like something that would be placed well on Joe's solo album Black Rock. I can picture him doing that very straight backed sway as he's playing his guitar and I'm back at the Magna Centre all over again! I'm also doing the Robototron dance which unless you have ever seen Evil Scarecrow play live won't mean anything to anybody! I like the keyboard on this - Derek's prog background coming through a little!

Has One last soul grown on you more yet? The best songs ae the one's that aren't so instant and ofetn I find the song of an album I don't egt on with to begin with ends up beign my favourite track after it's been listened to over and over again!

hey Marie

Sure am more into it but out of the four songs heard so far Song of Yesterday is by far the one i'm enjoying the most, even without Glenn singing lead vocals. Would have liked to hear him do the whole album i must say, even though i do like Joe's singing.

See you soon, tickets for Nottingham should be arriving soon!

Another stellar review This time from Hot Press in Ireland...

Quote:
The debut album from Black Country Communion is a slick collection of songs, hewn from classic rock origins.

"Black Country" is an ambitious affair, ably executed by 4 seasoned musicians.

Rawk on!

Overall, a great rock and roll album and the assured debut you only get from players at the very top of their game.

Icon47 4 Stars!

Yet another outstanding review... this time form Goldmine Magazine

Quote:
To sum it up, all of the songs have that raw spontaneity of garage classic rock and the hooks that make them, in turn, catchy.

Possibly, this is the best hard rock album of 2010.
