Arrow Bolin guitarprince

Back in 1992 a friend of mine had the bold idea to start a Music Magazine: Flipside. He asked me to write an article about forgotten guitarprince Tommy Bolin. His magazine was handcopied, lasted for like one-and-a-half yrs. and he issued like 10 editions.

Here is my Tommy Bolin article, in Dutch from May 1992.

The Bolin box had been out for a couple of years (which I purchased in Chicago in 1989 while I was an exchange student in the US).

When I wrote the article i knew many Bolin tapes existed , but I believed they would never see the light of day. A few years later, around '95 the Tommy Bolin Archives started to release all that stuff, that I faithfully bought of course.

He Ad, interessant, dank! Now is Tommy Bolin not a forgotten guitar hero anymore. He is (thanx to Come taste The Band 2010) back on the front again. More followers than ever and a lot of new younger fans who understand that he was a real genius
