Arrow The best live albums ever!!!

What are your favourite live albums ever, my dear Glenn Hughes fellow fans? Mine are:
1. Rainbow On Stage (Blackmore, Dio and Powell at their best).
2. Deep Purple-Made in Europe (very powerfull and soulfull, thanx to Glenn).
3. Deep Purple: Made in Japan (I like the improvisations)
4. Led Zeppelin: The song remains the same (epic).

Good others: UFO: Strangers in the night and Black Sabbath: Live Evil,
of course there a some more.
Yeah....you can say I'm a Dio fan.

hm...not as easy to say what are my favorite life albums.
But right at the moment i'd say:

1. Deep Purple Made In Europe (so powerful and super big sounding)
2. Deep Purple Made In Japan (it is a monster of improvisation)
3. Black Country Communion Live Over Europe
4. Pink Floyd Pulse

greets
Sigurd

There's a Eagle Rock catalog that has Pink Floyd Delicate Sound of Thunder DVD available Spring 2013. That's almost now, but the rumors on the other PF forums say it ain't so. Hopefully it is b/c this is my current favorite live show.

Hi Galleyfan, ik like this topic also, therefore I started it once In the seventies I was a lot into live albums. Nowadays I am more into studio recordings. You mentioned Rainbow On Stage and Black Sabbath Live Evil, so I understand that you like Dio a lot. Dio is for me the best hard rock singer ever (together with Glenn and DC). A more recent superb live album is Black Sabbath (Heaven and Hell): Neon nights live at Wacken open air 2009. Dio was 67 at that time and he still sings with amazing power. A must have for the real Dio fan!

Blue Oyster Cult's 'On Your Feet or On You Knees' is one of my favourite albums EVER! Their studio material is almost unrecognizable if you hear these versions first--just an outstanding band on the top of their game. I wore out two LPs and have had the CD in my car for about 20 years!
Get Your Ya-Yas Out--the Stones show how to rock, including Mick Taylor's remarkable work on Sympathy for the Devil, far more of a rock song than the studio version.
Johnny Winter And Live--WOW! The cover of Jumpin' Jack Flash is scary! You can hear where SRV and Kenny Wayne Shepherd got their chops!
