Long Live Lizzy!

Yes, Phil and Lizzy put out some of the finest music of their time. Unfortunately, I was not a Lizzy fan until after Phil's death, but I now listen to the music quite often.

One of the best hard rock songwriters ever, undoubtedly. By a weird coincidence I am reading "The Rocker" by Mark Putterford right now. Got it out of my local library yesterday and had Live and Dangerous and Black Rose playing on the stereo, totally unaware it was Phil's anniversary.

RIP Roisin Dubh.

cheers
John

He is one of the all time greatest Rockers, one of my favourites, wonderful songs he wrote.

Now I am listening to the UK Tour 75.

(With Guiness)

As well as being a quality musician he was a real gent. First saw TL on tour at a local college around '73 (I think) before they really gained momentum. I remember the performance from a musicianship aspect was brilliant but the sound/mix was shocking. Bumped into PL at Crystal Palace Bowl Festival '76 (I think) and discussed the previous gig attended. I was a bit star struck and the words came out a bit wrong to the point of sounding a touch arrogant and rude on my part. I felt like a total idiot. He was very forgiving and even bought me and my mate a Guiness. RIP Phil.

Ah, the great Philip Lynott. Lover, fighter, poet, father, husband, rascal, flawed hero and rogue all in one. Amazing talent. Charisma. Charm. Definitely missed.

RIP Phil.

Cheers....Todd
