LOL Shirean....it's about 95% done...just gotta adjust up some backing vocals, then burn it and try it on various cd players/speakers so there's not too much bass or treble etc.
Hopefully Sunday.

Thanks for the interest Shirean...now the pressure is really on!!!

Cheers...

Well i got sick of tinkering with it and have finally put down.

The technical stuff:

Drums...these were taken off a CD-ROM 'cause i did this song at home on the computer.
Everything else is me....

It's not perfect..one or two clicks can be heard and the timing in some cases ain't too hot.I just got bogged down with the song...wanted to finish then start another.
The drums are mono...since then i've got stereo drum tracks.

Mixing could be better and my voice...well.. we vocalists are seldom happy.

The title "Believe" may change in the next half hour!!!!

Anyway...here it is...

Cheers...

Note:When downloaded and it appears..and starts to play...stop it and start from the beginning.
It kinda starts..stops and continues.

Well as far as making an album...this song has taken 6 months!!!!!!so it'll be like the waiting for Bostons second one .
I dunno maybe writing for other bands/artists is an idea 'cause i'm not in a band at the mo and i'm gettin' on in years .

Anyway thanks for your post my friend.

Cheers...

It's really good Pete...I had a go myself a while back and nothing I did sounded as good as this. Your voice sounded great! Don't, under any circumstances, let this be the first and last track of yours you post on here!

Hey there Pete:

I sing a bit of everything: rock,pop,dance/disco,r&b,opera,jazz.I also write lyrics, music, short stories and poems. My new band is called Dream Aria (www.dreamaria.com). The music has something for every music lover in it! I should be able to post it by the end of the summer. I can't wait for people to hear it! It's different.
My favorite styles to sing are "rock'n'soul" and opera. There's no greater high. I feel those styles right through my body, inside and out. Does that sound crazy??! lol
Thanks for your interest!
p.s. you can check out some recordings I did a long time ago if you like: http://www.annburstyn.com.

Hi Pete:

Thanks... I've worked very hard and still am. I'll never stop. I'm always expanding my horizons with different styles. I challenge myself alot. I never sing anything that is easy for me. I work my way up to it and conquer. It's a great feeling to think "I could never sing that, but I'm going to try anyway" and to then pull it off!
The songs you heard are old performances so I can't wait for you to hear the fresh ones!

Thanks again for taking time to listen and for the nice comments...
Cheers,
Ann

Hey David
Writing tracks for me in the last 10 years or so has been really hard....i think this has something to do with tryin' to write stuff that has'nt been done before..y'know you do a riff and someone says that it sounds like so and so and it gets put in the bin.
Basically you can't write a unique tune...so then it's all about what you do with it to make it stand out ie.using different drum patterns, vocals, backing vocals etc.just to mix it up a bit.

Instead of the tune or words i'm writing the drums first!!!!!! the whole 3 1/2 mins worth..then add the guitar and see what comes out
Hopefully in month there will be a new track.

Cheers....

Pete S.
ps.Sorry David...you caught me in a thinking mode .

Hi all:

The Dream Aria cd is almost finished being mixed and mastered. Can't wait!! In the meantime, if anyone is interested in hearing my cover band "One True Cause", you can check us out at http://www.onetruecause.com.
All songs were recorded live off the floor for the "live" feel. We're using the cd as a "business" card to hand out to club owners. Aiming to get some gigs!
Hope everyone is well!
Cheers,
Ann

Hi Achim:
Thanks so much for checkin' out my site! Were you on the ONE TRUE CAUSE site? The songs are not mine though- just cover tunes. I did some GH overdubs for fun too- they're on my main web-site: http://www.annburstyn.com. I also have a band (DREAM ARIA)that does originals. Our cd will be out early 2005. You can hear samples soon at http://www.dreamaria.com. if you like!
Thank you for the kind words...
Cheers,
Ann

Hey Shirl & Achim:
Thanks for the nice comments. Much appreciated! Did you go on the http://www.onetruecause.com site? My recent recordings are on there- better than the ones on the annburstyn.com site. Just wait until I can put some Dream Aria tracks out there!!! It's all too cool! I can't wait! I want to get everybody's feedback. Early 2005 is the planned release.
True, I do have alot of sites but only one is really "mine". The others are for the bands I'm in!
Take care all...
Ann
P.S. I'd love to hear the stuff Pete & Achim are workin' on!

Hey Ann...the track is going real smooth....Achim has done a brilliant job .....he's the excellent musician not me ...the guy is too modest.

The track's basic riff and structure is there and lyrics have been added. It's all looking good .
The singing will be shared as in HTP.
Maybe in a while....when both agreed we could upload a sample clip.

Cheers...
