Icon42 Trapeze - Running

Does anyone have any details on this German LP - tracking listing, label etc? I assume it's a bootleg or at the very least a rip-off release?

All I know is it was issued in Europe only and after The Final Swing (1974) and before Trapeze (1975) - it also features a brave young lady on the cover by the name of Angelika!!

Track list....?

If you can take your eyes away from the cover for a minute and turn it over What tracks are included on it? Is it like a 'Greatest Hits' or something?

Bottom line - would you recommend buying it?!?!

Now - you can flip the cover over again....enjoy

Trapeze - Running (1978)

The RUNNING album is actually the same as HOLD ON.

The track listing for RUNNING is:
(Shark records INT 148.500 Germany)

Side A:
Running
Living on love
Don't ask me how I know
Take good care of me
Time will heal
Side B:
Hold on
Don't break my heart part I
Don't break my heart part II
When you get to heaven
You are

Band personnel:
Mel Galley - guitar
Dave Holland - drums
Pete Goalby - lead vocals and guitar
Pete Wright - bass

The track listing for HOLD ON:
(Aura records AUL 708, England)

Side A:
Don't ask me how I know
Take good care
When you get to heaven
Livin' on love
Hold on
Side B:
Don't break my heart (Same as on Running!)
Running
You are
Time will heal

Can I turn the cover now??

Running

And yes I do recommend it, as it is a good rocking Trapeze album with a great vocalist: Pete Goalby...who later went on to join Uriah Heep and made some good albums with them too!

Come to think of it...where is Pete Goalby now???

Thanks Ad - I'll have to see what Santa brings me this year

By the way, last I read, Pete Goalby was working for a UK guitar manufacturer called Patrick Eggle Guitars and apparently is a very private person who does not want to be contacted about Uriah Heep!!

Running LP

This album came out with 2 different titles and covers. The more common title is "Hold On". "Running" is the original issue. It came out in Germany in 1978. It later came out in the U.K. as "Hold On" in 1979. It came out as "Hold On" in the U.S. in 1980. The song sequencing is different from "Running" and "Hold On".

I asked Mel Galley about the cover and he said the German record label decided to do it - it wasn't him or the band's choice!
