Icon38 Pat Thrall - Live in Sweden 1985

Well to be precise... Thrall, Hellborg, Schrieve

On March 14th, 1985, well after Hughes/Thrall didn't workout as expected, guitarist Pat Thrall performed a one-off live concert together with his ex Automatic Man pal Michael Shrieve (formerly with Santana) and Swedish bass player Jonas Hellborg (playing with the Mahavishnu Orchestra at the time).

Whether they were getting ready to record an album or just gigging for fun, although they say, "we'll see you again"; they played a blistering set at Nefertiti Jazz Club in Gothenburg, Sweden, that included some blues, a couple of funk/vocal tunes, extended bass and drum solos, but mostly instrumental rock/fusion.

Not the greatest recording, but rare all the same

In 1986 Michael Shrieve together with Kevin Shrieve collaborated with Klaus Schulze on the New Age 'Transfer Station Blue' album. Hiram Bullock played additional guitar. Other guests (session players) included Will Lee on bass. No Pat Thrall.
The music is a mixture of acoustic and electronic drums & percussion plus multiple synth layers - far from the Thrall/Hellborg/Shrieve project!
