Great Pics!

Thanks, Paul Those are some really interesting pictures of Glenn in the Purple days..
By the way.. Is anyone out there as curious/interested in what kinds of gear Glenn has used through the years.. First time I saw him, He was playing a fender P-bass and Laney amps(1972, dallas ) Last time it was a fender jazzV through a trace elliot short stack..During his purple days (and one Trapeze show in dallas ) I saw him using mostly fender or rick basses through this gigantic rig that I was never quite sure of ..Looked like Hiwatt 200 amps and some kind of folded horn cabinets ( Monster Tone,Glenn!!)
Anyway.. other Glenn/gearheads out there?

While with Trapeze and Deep Purple, Glenn used mainly Hiwatt gear. His "live" set-up in Purple which consisted of 3 DR405 400 watt bass heads driving 6 to 9 Martin bass bins has become legendary among bass equipment enthusiasts, and no doubt was a source of constant frustration for Mr. Blackmore's Marshalls.

In the studio, where the shot below is from, Glenn used DR201 and 103 heads along with Hiwatt and Marshall cabs to keep the sonic level down to below "earthquake" level.
