Icon27 Live In Zaandam, April 1998

I know the 2001 Zaandam gigs have been discussed... but what are the opinions on the April '98 gigs. Great Setlist, and very good sound quality, IMHO. And the version of "Way Back To The Bone" that opens the show, is a screamer

The Set List: (For Those Who Might Not Have Heard It yet)

Way Back To The Bone
Muscle And Blood
You Are The Music.....
First Step Of Love
Coast To Coast (Parts 1 & 2)
Superstition
This Time Around
Gettin' Tighter
Your Love Is Alright
You Keep On Moving
Drum Solo
You Fool No One
Burn

Anyone (David,Shirean, Fedor?) Know who the other members of the band are

April 1998 tour

The band members are Glenn Hughes-bass/vocals, Gary Ferguson-drums, George Nastos-guitar and Hans Zermuehlen-keyboards. It is all here, just go to http://www.glennhughes.com/tourography/solo98.html.

Thanks Ayesha When I received the CD from a friend, it had no additional information on it, as far as who the players were besides Glenn.

Should have known it would have been somewhere on this site

I was also there with my mate Theo. Great show with Glenn in a very good mood. After this show he was there two times more. I believe it was in 2001 with JJ on guitar (Glenn was not feeling well and a bit moody, so to say). And after that he played there again in 2006 with Jeff Kohlmann on guitar. Three show each with a different feel. And for me that's Glenn: not standard but with great passion

I remember that gig well as it was my first 'overseas' GH gig - me and my pal Mick McSweeney travelled in a very dodgy 'replacement' plane from Heathrow to Schipol and had a great day in Zandaam where every other person seemed to be wearing GH tour T-shirts!!

The gig was very funky (even 'Stormbringer') with an excellent version of Superstition thrown in - Glenn broke a string but handled it by launching in to a freeform funk jam with the rest of the band whilst it was being fixed.
