Got my Orlando tickets, which pretty much sold out in presale except for some far left and right seats. Gonna be a good time in November

I heard more about this tour on the Deep Tracks channel on SiriusXM.
Then right after the info they played a BN tune. I believe it was called Rainbow Eyes.

Correction....they played a Rainbow tune called "Rainbow Eyes"...revisited by Blackmore's Night, much like their version of "Street of Dreams" a year or two ago..

And Frank, didst thou get in on the presale because thou art a Renaissance devotee who will be there, lute in hand, dressed in feathered hat and tights?

Sorry for the mistake. I'm not a fan of either band

Wow!!! I'd pay good money to see Frank dressed up in tights and shoes with the curly toes. I think Frank would stick the feather somewhere other than his hat

Excuse me, my misguided geezer friend...how can you be a fan of Missy Elliott...but not a fan of the most excellent band Rainbow?! (Sorry, had to "out" you on that one..)

Frank seems quiet at the moment...perchance he is quaffing ale and ogling fair maidens.

I have goneth hither and yon with my pint of ale.
Alas, I have attempted to get hold of a suit of armor for the show and just have everyone at a loss for words.

Jeez, can't a guy buy a CD single of Missy's and not get hounded about it? I do have a few Rainbow items in the 'ol collection and have seen them a few times in concert. Just wasn't a huge fan.

Maybe Frank is doing it the other way around....ogling ale and quaffing fair maidens

Orlando Concert

Back from the Blackmore's Night show inOrlando Tuesday night.
The show just didn't do it for me to say the least. It started strong and ended with a little puff, basically going downhill the entire second of two hours. No electric guitar work to speak of at all, and every song was toned way down. "Soldier of Fortune" was well done as was "Under a Violet Moon", but otherwise I was not impressed.
Add the fact that they did not do an encore while the audience was standing and clapping for over five minutes really soured me on the whole night.
Candice Night, though, can certainly sing !! Her entire presence was very good, and she never seemed as if the whole event was coreographed and planned out beforehand. Ritchie was under-amplified and the keys and violin were the dominant instruments. There was also a drum solo, which is just annoying !!!
Of course the people-watching was great with the costumed "Blackmorons" dressed in masks, jesters outfits and kilts. There was one woman dressed as a tree with an owl in it and looked really interesting.
Overall, a disappointment, but I am still glad I went

I went to three shows in July and I think I find myself watching her more than Ritchie. And- she is certainly singing better than ever with fewer spots of flat singing although there were a couple. However- she hit one high note that I heard coming from her voice when I was in the front row- not from the pa- not from the monitors but I heard that voice above the band and it was perfectly in pitch.
