"Burn"

It was a very special show as part one of the set included a unique and first time performance by Glenn
of the entire BURN album in original album running order!!

...and here's a badly translated mini-review...courtesy of Google Translate!

Quote:
Glenn Hughes in Kavarna fulfill all of Deep Purple Burn

When a few years the Voice of Rock, "Glenn Hughes visited Varna (this May was one of the last rock concert here) is bearing the rumors that he will perform" Seventh Star "of Black Sabbath. Do not believe it! But the camp. Bis of Honorary Citizen of Kavarna do just that. Song never heard it performed live - although Glenn Hughes exported several times in our concerts each year. Well, you witnessed something special.

Miracle and get over with the first of this year rock concert in Kavarna, which opened the season of heavy rock music in the maritime capital. At the invitation of the mayor of the municipality Tsonko Tsonev, Glenn Hughes made perhaps the most emotional and most surprising his concert in Bulgaria. Emotional because the audience like it for the first time, and know what meets hometown fan. Surprising, because Glenn and company izsviriha nearly half of the work of legendary bassist with quintuplet. And the whole cult of "Burn" as it was created in 1974 that far - song by song in the order of the inventory. Without changes. Even improvisations were minimized. Only "Mistreated" have again received a dose of her vocal Saturnalia. Heard and instrumental " 'A' 200, which finishes first issued album MK III. Combinations of "Burn" were welcomed like manna from fans who were given two hours a classic hard rock, much soul, blues, jazz and Funk.

"Why did you do?"
"Because I wanted to give to fans and friends here something special. I do not know if will happen. Maybe for the first and last time. I love Bulgaria. "Thus" the voice of rock "explained its decision.

"Why not" Stormbringer "and" Come Taste The Band "?
"One day, next time, maybe this will happen. "Stormbringer" is my favorite album. "

It all started with a slight delay, but the Square was full. Traditionally the day on May 6 - the feast of the town government in Kavarna striped, changed when the darkness of the music fans of the righteous. At the beginning of the sound tracks of solo albums Glenn Hughes, mixed with a dose parpalska otnesenost as "This Time Around" and "You Keep on Moving". And then came "Burn": 1.Burn, 2.Might Just Take Your Life, 3.Lay Down, Stay Down, 4.Sail Away, 5.You Fool No One, 6.What 's Goin' On Here, 7.Mistreated 8. 'A' 200.

Rehearsal is sufficient. Emotions and feelings remain for those who were there ... to the stage. And after all instrumentals over. Bis and Burenosetsat "brought the first rain drops ...

As I promised, here are some photos which I took yesterday in Kavarna The concert was great, the athmosphere was very intimate and the performances were over the top. Just a perfect concert. I didn't notice how fast 1 hour and 50 minutes passed.

Setlist (I'm not sure in the order of the first few songs)

1. Crave
2. You Got Soul
3. This Time Around
4. Love Communion
5. You Keep On Moving
6. Soul Mover
--------------
7. Burn
8. Might Just Take Your Life
9. Lay Down, Stay Down
10. Sail Away
11. You Fool No One
12. What's Goin' On Here
13. Mistreated
14. A 200

----------------
15. Stormbringer

Well, every Glenn Hughes concert is the greatest concert in my life, this concert was another the greatest one But the entire Burn album in the setlist made this concert very, very special...

The last few days in Kavarna were wonderful. I saw Jeff Kollman, Steve Stephens, Dani and Pete in the restaurant "Bulgarka" on the Black Sea cost in the evening on May 5th, but I decided not to disturb them while they had dinner. Unfortunately, in this way I passed the moment to meet them. I hope I will have another chance to meet them in the future.

Entire Stormbringer album next time? Wow! That will be fine! But what about Soldier Of Fortune?

Yeah, the songs were exactly these. Three hours before that they were discussing if it's better to start right on with Burn but finally they decided to put Burn in the middle.

Yes, yes, yes, it was an amazingly good show!! Everything was perfect, Glenn was in great shape, his voice as beautiful as ever! The band was on fire, I'm so happy I saw this gig with Jeff Kollman and Steve Stevens!

Thank you Glenn, thank you guys for this joy!!! We love you very much!!

PS Because of my technical incompetence I will post my pictures and videos later. I need the help of my son who's away for the weekend. Sorry!
