Very cool tune. I always wanted to hear how they sounded, and from the sounds of this, I like it. I hope some of the Shape 68 tunes see the light of day someday - it would be a shame to let them go to waste!

Thumbs up

Thanks for the link, Ad - this is excellent - and obviously pro shot!
So that's how Shape 68 sounded...

Cheers,
Christian

That brings back a nice memory of seeing Shape 68 at Platinum Live w/ Chip, David & Shirean, Ko Mitani, John Harjo and an audience of special guests like Steve Porcaro of Toto, Claude Schnell of Dio, Alex Ligertwood, Marc Bonilla, Hans Zermuellen, JSS, Siedah Garrett and more. What a great night. Pity those songs have not seen the light of day - all of the songs performed were good tunes.

Cheers...Todd

Ken - this is on myspace.com amongst other places. Sure others will fill you in

Actually, you can go to www.youtube.com and type in pretty much any band you can think of and find cool clips of all kinds. I've found some amazing stuff by Gary Moore, Shawn Lane, Black Oak Arkansas, Mr. T...

Yep, and don't forget Steve Porcaro actually was onstage at one point....He had cowritten one of the new tunes with Glenn.

Icon28 Hughes v Gracie

I decided to have a play around on my new-found website Todd ... found a vid titled 'Hughes v Gracie' which of course I couldn't bear to watch in case there was an axe being wielded around

It's an amazing site

Shape 68 video

Just found this video of Shape 68, amazing song, anyone know what its called. By the sound of this its a shame this has not progressed further.

Excellent, actually could imagine this track would fit on M4TD very well.

Someone else posted that link fairly recently. I agree - it is a very good tune. I probably like it more than anything on M4TD. It will be a shame if it never gets released.

This is exactly the clip that David has posted a while back here (scroll down to the 5th posting) and in the memorabilia section...

Icon49 FINALLY!

Thanks to this fantastic site, I FINALLY got to SEE
the KLF video of "What Time is Love?"

How on earth did they convince our poor Glenn (The Viking of Rock)
to get on that cockamamie boat and get sloshed around
in some recording studio water tank, by a wind and wave machine?

Everyone in front of the camera is lucky that they didn't drown,
or at least catch pneumonia, while filming this music video.

And it was great to match a face to that creepy guy's voice who said
the opening monologue. I remember the first time that I heard this song,
and this guy said something like:

"They reached America, but it was FRUITLESS."

I immediately thought......
Too bad that they didn't land in Florida.
Lots of fruit there, huh?

Anyway....this is a great video source site.
Thanks for posting the web site address for it.
Grace

Big Daddy, you really should think about incorporating a couple of those great unused Shape 68 tracks into an album. They were absolutely stellar - they were funky, rocking and they had hooks that grabbed the listener on the first go-round. Maybe you could place them as hidden bonus tracks on your next CD...

Cheers...Todd

I can't help it, but this is exactly the same snippet that actually started the thread, isn't it?

Well certainly something to keep this thread alive...

Chris

P.S. also, I couldn't help notice my own post (#16 in the list), which is preluding the Plagiarism topic.
I'm still mad that the Why Don't You Stay clip is all over the net...

So, David, would it be a good idea to have a new category
of compilation videos here on GHPG, called: Glenn on You Tube
or would something like that be illegal for you to do?

Hmmm, will think about that one Grace.....a thread full of videos takes a while to load up....perhaps will do another sub-forum that links straight through to You Tube but specific to Glenn material....will think about that

Icon28 Things to do in your "SPARE TIME"

Thanks for the fast reply, "Search."
Of course, I have NO CLUE how this could even be done

All I'm interested in, is having easy access to that mini-video
of Glenn singing "The Golden One."
(GH videos arranged by song title, or year, perhaps?)
But if it were a separate category such as "Greetings" or "Off Topic"
it would be much easier to go directly to "Glenn on You Tube"
if it were listed on the Fan Forum page.

*But if you end up going to jail for doing this,
I'll try to start the bail money fund for you.

Well, don't forget that we have the Video section over in the Gallery

Golden One is in there too - perhaps that layout is what you're looking for

Nope, I certainly haven't forgotten.
That's where I watch that video now.
(Luckily, Glenn has NOT fallen over backward while hitting that note.)
Plus, I've noticed the "top" 4 GH videos on the Home Page.

But since there's a great deal of GH on "You Tube" already,
I thought that a new category on the "Fan Forum" page would help filter out
the riff-raff, and allow the fans to get a daily dose of our boy on stage.

(Or if somebody wanted to compare, for example,
Glenn's different versions of "Mistreated" through the years.)
