3 reasons........

There are 3 reasons why I'm a Glenn Hughes Crazy Person:

#1. The guy doesn't sing too shabby none

#2. He's polite to the fans at a "meet and greet"

#3. And he's too much of a gentleman to ax murder Bob Coburn, who deserves it

The Glenn Hughes & Joe Lynn Turner (HTP) 'Rockline' Interview:
BC: "Glenn, here's something from Deep Purple, and I think you might recognize this."
Followed by the original version of "Burn" with David Coverdale singing lead.

The Glenn Hughes & Shape 68 'Rockline' Interview:
After a break for commercials, they played the complete, original version of "Stormbringer."
BC: "Yes, that was Deep Purple's 'Stormbringer' featuring Glenn Hughes."

And both times that this happened,
Glenn just let it go.

So I can't wait until February 7th, to see what snappy tunes
BY GLENN HUGHES
Mr. Coburn and his research staff of rocket scientists come up with.
Gee, I hope that it's the original (MK 2) version of 'Smoke On The Water' as sung by GH.
(Do your homework before the interview airs, boys.)

PS........Knock 'em dead, again, Mr. Hughes.

Icon49 Watch out!

Watch out, tony g

When you call up to speak on the "Rockline" radio show,
FIRST....
you have to get past the evil phone Nazi / bouncer

You have to promise no "hello" or dedications to anyone,
no cursing, etc, etc. And turn down the sound on your radio,
because of the 7 second delay, or you'll go nuts
hearing what you just said.

Try to have a couple of question possibilities at the ready,
and say so FIRST,
because this rude guy might say to you:
"We already have that question" and then hang up on you.

When I was able to get through, it was the GH & JLT interview.
So I called up and said that I had the sheet music for the song,
"Deep Purple" (which had been discussed as to who, what, when, etc.)
but the phone guy had no clue what I was talking about,
because he had been answering the phones, and didn't know
that the 1939 sheet music that I had, had the necessary answers.
He kept saying to me, "What's your question?"

I finally managed to come up with a fast question about
"You Keep On Moving"
and then I got through, to talk to Glenn.

PS........When BC announced "Here's Grace from New Jersey"
SOMEBODY NAMELESS
said to me; "Is this the Ax Murderer from New Jersey?"
You betcha' it was, Glenn (NAMELESS) Hughes.............

Quote:
Glenn Hughes is a frequent visitor at ROCKLINE and why not? He cemented his legacy with Deep Purple and is known for his work with Trapeze, the Hughes-Thrall Band and more. Hughes continues to be in demand as evidenced by his recent work with Sabbath guitarist and Rock legend Tony Iommi and the inclusion into his band of the much respected drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chad Smith. Hughes performed at the gala opening night party with Queen members Bryan May and Roger Taylor for their We Will Rock You stage show. Hughes sings a wicked version of Stone Cold Crazy with the band. He has also worked with Black Sabbath proper; England's bluesy Gary Moore, and has his own label Pink Cloud Records.

We will catch up with Glenn before he leaves for an extended tour of Russia in February and March and then a European run beginning in May. Hughes reportedly has been working with the Classics in Rock tour and with former Uriah Heep keyboardist Ken Hensley. In addition, Glenn has released another solo album, for the second year in a row. The new work, titled "Music for the Divine", exhibits a stylistic departure for the vocalist, bassist and songwriter from Cannock, England. Co-produced by Chad Smith it offers music that long time fans clamor for and several new twists and turns as we have come to expect as well. It is a well known fact that Hughes possesses an almost superhuman voice, perfect for Rock but well suited for any occasion.

Its time to check in again, so join us as we present Glenn Hughes on our next ROCKLINE!

Frustration is hitting me between the eyes. I went to the Rockline Website which directed me to the Albuquerque affiliate. So, I then clicked on their website...and NO mention of Rockline whatsoever. They are also one of the "**" stations which broadcast at a different time...so I wouldn't be able to call in anyhow. Why would a radio station have links to "Thong of the Day" but not "Rockline"????
PLEASE...someone rescue me from this psuedo-city I am living in now .....

and proud of it...all I want is to be able to hear Big Daddy.

Aren't there two Rockline's? One of the stations here in Phoenix plays the one on Monday nights, with newer bands featured. The Wednesday version that features classic rock artists, isn't aired on any stations here.

On Glenn's previous appearance on Rockline, when I got through to ask a question, I just called the number without listening to it anywhere.

Hang in there Frank. All will be better in April when baseball season starts

Lightbulb What's up?

Nobody's going to believe me, but........

"Rockline" wasn't on the radio last night in New York.

*Yes, I had a GHPG info print-out taped to my refrigerator.
*Yes, my radio was set to 104.3
* I heard music, and music, and more music.

THERE WAS NO "ROCKLINE" LAST NIGHT,
THEREFORE NO GLENN INTERVIEW FOR ME!

There will be more dancing in the streets tonight after catching Rockline on the PC last night. Hey Kat...you got in there right away, probably started calling at 2:00 PM to save a place at the head of the line

Then there was the USA Tour info, and the potential (read: probable) MKIII Reunion How does one sleep after that??? Answer, you don't, you just play music all night and begin clearing your Summer calender

Glenn just made life an awful lot better, and now the Summer of '07 will be a rocker !!! This will be an all-time great year for aficienados of Classic Rock. Check this out: 1) New Album from Russ Ballard ( which is incredible); 2) Heaven and Hell Tour; 3) Ian Hunter new album (due in Spring);4) Nektar new album (due in April); 5) Uriah Heep new album (due in September); 6) M4TD USA release; 7) Glenn Hughes US Tour. Who knows what other news will be coming up, but for me I am just thrilled at what is on the horizon....all that and Pitchers and Cathcers in 8 days !!!!!!!

Thank You Mr. Hughes

Tell me about it.
Are you telling me that it will be re-broadcast at the (formerly) regular location?
The only place that I know of for "Rockline" is 104.3
(Thanks for your.......USUAL.....fast and knowledgeable answer back.)
